This makes me always lose my work... There are two batteries here and they can be charged at the same time, and you can quickly change the other one even if there is no power. Why Neewer would do this is beyond me but I am honestly glad they sold this with 2 batteries instead of just one. I am just starting my own channel on youtube and to film for various hours at a time. I have a camera-top video light from Genaray that I got perhaps six years ago. I use the light regularly, and took it on a video shoot a couple weeks ago -- only to find that the battery would work for a few minutes, then not hold a charge. The battery was a Sony NP-F550 knock-off, in this case it was a cheap battery with a Genaray label on it. Since the light came with only this one battery, I looked for another battery and spotted this Neewer kit at what I still think is an insanely low price. The kit included two batteries, a charger and a USB cable that plugs the charger into any USB power supply. Both batteries that came with this Neewer kit work perfectly in my Genaray light, and they run for a l-o-n-g time -- just what I was looking for. Both Neewer batteries are rated at 2600 mAh, which is considerably better than the 2200 mAh that the original Genaray (and original Sony NP-F550) batteries are rated. That should mean that I will get an extra 15-20 minutes of run time for my on-camera light. That's a good thing. (See my photo for all the battery information.) The Neewer charger accepts two batteries, and it will charge both together or one at a time. Either way, it gets its power in a mini-USB port on the side of the charger. This is exactly the same connector that most cell phones use, so if you are like me, you have at least a half-dozen of these cellphone chargers laying around. In my case, I also have a small counter in my house that has become the "charging counter." I installed an electrical outlet that has two USB ports, so I usually plug the Neewer charger into one of those USB ports. That works perfectly. But I love that the same charger and cable that I use for my cell phone and tablet is also the charger/cable I need to re-charge the Neewer batteries. That is just a smart design. Keep in mind that this Neewer kit does *not* come with a USB charger -- it comes with only a cable that you plug into a USB charger that you supply. I'm okay with that, as I have a LOT of USB chargers. I've had these Neewer batteries and charger for only a couple of weeks, but they have restored the operation of my camera-top light, given me the versatility of having two batteries (instead of only the one original battery) and it has such a convenient charger system. I recommend this Neewer dual-battery and charger kit... it is a terrific value. ... show more

I have a couple of Neewer hot shoe LED panels that I've been using for a while. I used to load them with old camcorder batteries until they finally called it quits. After fussing with tons of AAs I change across these and I'll never go back. They charge reasonably quickly and hold their charge for a decent amount of time. Without all of the headache of AAs. Update: 6/18/2020 I initially gave these batteries a great review. Unfortunately I've had to change it. I don't use these lights very often anymore so I tried to fire one up about 6 months ago and it didn't work. So I left it on the charger over night and tried the next day. Still it was completely flat. No worries, maybe I did something wrong and the second battery still worked fine. Fast forward to last week. The light was working fine with the battery and after my session, I put it away. The next day no power. I thought maybe it was just dead so again, I let it charge over night. Got up the next day and nothing. So both batteries are completely dead. I even thought that maybe it was my lights (I have two) so I tested both batteries in both lights and nothing. They both work fine with AAs. Unfortunate. I got maybe 4 or 5 uses out of these batteries over the course of 3 years. ... show more

This charger set is the best. I use my camera so much so I really go through my batteries fast and don't have a lot of time to sit and switch them out when one is done. This dual slot takes all that pain away. This is so much better than my basic single battery wall charger. This is much more compact and efficient since it's usb compatible, I can charge them on the way to shoots in my car or when I'm at work on my portable charger. So I never have to worry about having enough battery in time. They fill up fast and last me throughout entire sessions so I never have to worry about stopping the shoot and switching out. These help me and my clients stay into the groove and keep me productive. ... show more

Charges two batteries at once! Not only is it faster by being able to do that but they're high speed charging as well. The batteries fill up fast and last me all day or all night. I can also charge 1 battery or both simultaneously together, works either way. USB plug fits snugly and indicator lights show the charging mode clearly and let me know when they're fully charged .
