This 65W LED Mini COB light by Neewer, is another example of a useful, higher quality product by Neewer. If you need a versatile studio light, this one feels well-made, provides a lot of light for the size, with colored diffuser pack and battery capabilities for easy movement. Here are some of the things I’ve learned while owning it and things to consider before buying. I. Quality – As with almost everything I’ve gotten from Neewer, It’s built tough and out of good quality materials. This one should last a long time. II. Performance – This light is really bright for the size and is highly adjustable. It comes with multiple power options and a 6 color diffuser pack. Nice handle for hand holding and moving it around, much better than others. It’s very quiet compared to my other versions of this light from other companies. The hood changing is simple and locks into place with an affirming click and a Bowens mount adapter for assessor compatibility. Overall, I really like using this light. I have a few of these type of lights from competition companies and this one is my favorite for a compact design when needing to move around. It fits my needs, has worked flawlessly, exceeded my expectations, and left me wanting to use it the next time. If you need a productions light that’s versatile like this one, you won’t be disappointed. You can trust that this review is simply my honest opinion that is attempting to provide you with helpful insight that I wish I had before I picked this product. I have to say I'm thrilled with this video light. Firstly, the case is well organized and padded well. Upon opening it, it was really surprising to see how compact and lightweight the light unit is. It is very easy and straightforward to use. The knobs are intuitive and it gives off an excellent amount of light considering its size and wattage. And the Bowens mount adapter ensures that I can use all of my softboxes with it. It is also super quiet. I ran the light at 100% power for 15 minutes. I used a decibel meter to measure the ambient sound inches away from the light before I turned it on and it did not show any change in ambient sound level. What I really like is its power options. I will be working on a film crew to capture interviews while on a float trip this summer and the compact nature and ability to use V mounts or NP-F batteries is really going to come in handy, especially with how they designed the mount and battery plate. I have not used the app to control it yet, and honestly I don't anticipate I will use it much at all. But overall I am a fan and this video light it will get lots of use in my kit bag.

The fact that it is just makes it supremely fantastic. NEEWER has been knocking it out of the park the last 5 years with photography products that punch well above their weight class. You can include this light. It is an amazing compact and powerful light. Very good built quality and fit and finish. AND BATTERY POWER OPTION. I’ve run it continuously for hours and it hasn’t overheated and so it is been a reliable key light with more power than the little brothers that I have a few of. These also have adjustable color temp. The light is excellent quality with my meter confirming the high CRI. The light has excellent build quality and it has been a stellar performer. Good weight and relatively compact for its power. Great heat management. Not too loud. You will need both batteries loaded in order to power the light but you have a variety of the NP-F you can choose from to balance power versus weight and convenience. It takes standard Bowens accessories. Comes with a protective cap and a bag. The bag is really nice with plenty of room for all of the accessories! I have too many lights that I have had to buy separate bags for. Price/value ratio is excellent.

I am creating a setup for students to do interviews, and this offers me the possibility of the light being used on a stand as well as being portable. When I say portable, I mean that it can use battery power and be 100% portable! you just need to purchase/supply the batteries. The light runs nice and cool, and responds quickly to the adjustments made on the back panel, with a readout confirming the settings (which enables quick setting to previously determined levels. I was extremely happy to see that a Bowens mount adapter was included in the setup so that any of my attachments would fit. I was slightly disappointed that if I had the adapter on, I could not switch from the smaller diameter to the larger due to the adapter blocking access to the release button for the smaller diameter. I had to remove the adapter to gain access, which in reality is not difficult by any stretch and can be easily done. Overall, this is an incredibly flexible addition to my collection of lights, with all of my lights now getting to more LED than any other type of bulb. I have grown to like LED considerably more since they are more robust and less susceptible to bumps and other kinetic movements that may cause premature failure. With regard to the LED control, having the ability to adjust the lights remotely while looking through the lens so as to create the desired effects is truly time saving.
