I have several continuous lighting options in my arsenal and the majority of my work is mobile so this light really fits in with my work flow due to its size. Yes it's only a 65w light but it does pack the punch I need. I typically use this as a rim light to separate my subjects from the background and it works flawlessly for this... if I need to splash soft light against a wall, the included Bowens adapter works great with my modifiers. The fan is virtually silent... I never pick it up through my mics so that is an excellent feature. The intensity settings are very subtle with the turn of a knob... these aren't hard steps dimming, you can easily dial the intensity in to the perfect amount of light. The FX are an added feature but really don't play into my review... I just don't ever have the need for the FX but it has all the standards you find on any LED light source now. The app control is a bit clunky... there have been several times I would have used it but opted to adjust the lighting manually instead of fighting the app.. almost like the app control was an afterthought. I wish all the lighting companies would just get together and make a universal UI for us so that we weren't having to create accounts and having to remember what light does what... etc. I honestly don't know if I have more than 2 of the same light manufacturer at this point. If you're looking for a great light that is easy to transport, this would be a solid choice IMO.

Really good light. Plenty bright for small studios or home use. Bowen adapter included so works with any brand softboxes and diffusers. Cooling fan is whisper quiet and won't be picked up by microphones unless they are directly next to it. Carry case included. Too bad battery adapter is sold separately

I have used Neweer products for the last decade, and it has been interesting to see how they have evolved. They have gone from making inexpensive photography/videography equipment to making a variety of quality equipment! Notes- - 65Watts of power - unless it is smaller area it probably isn't large/bright enough to be a primary light, but it is perfect for illuminating shadows. - small enough to be highly portable. With the case it is small enough that you can fit it in a pelican case or your carry-on pack for air travel. - High quality COB (Chip on board) LED light - very bright and has very accurate colors. - Great color accuracy - this is the thing that most novices miss. All light are not created the same. Lights with low color accuracy will change skin tones and otherwise create havoc with your in-camera color.

This light fits into my video kit perfectly. I love the fact that it has enough light output for every project I have worked on so far. My work is commercials for small businesses and music videos. Unless you have a huge production then I think that this light will handle most projects. At a minimum it makes a great fill light, but for me it is a perfect key light for interview style videos.

Small but powerful LED mini light that comes with a full size bowens mount adapter to use with your big umbrellas. It can connect to the Neewer app that controls all your lights and the brightess gets super bright but being only this small compact size. It outputs up to 65w but I only use it about half power. The COB has a nice 5600k Daylight color but can range a few kelvin temps but mostly white.
