It's exactly what it claims to be. It's great for close in shots (2-4'). It's a fill light, not a studio grade light. If you're trying to illuminate the dark side of the moon you're out of luck, that's not what it's for. You can control the temperature and mood of the photo or the shoot just fine. It eliminates harsh shadows at close range to the subject. With a little practice and experimentation, this light will enhance your hobby just fine.

Being content creators we are always looking for budget friendly solutions to make better videos. We use this light on our rig for an on camera fill light. Perfect for when you are filming the subject up close. In our work shadows creep in even with a properly lit room. The neewer light stands proud chasing those evil shadows away. Battery life is amazing. We shoot each day and I typically charge the light about every two to three days. Our daily productions range from 15 min of recording time up to an hour. It has not dropped below 50% battery on any day including three days in between charges. The selectable color temp lets us match the lights or natural light we are using beautifully. at 100% power (where we use the light the most) it still does not washout the subject even when up very close on the face. Simple and easy to use and adjust. We ordered this light to make an attempt to get rid of shadows in POV videos. We love it so much we have two additional in the cart now for our other two cameras. If you are considering an on camera film light don’t hesitate this one will fill your needs

I don't typically write reviews but I was just blown away by how versatile this little light is, it gets very bright, good battery life and the magnet is way stronger than I expected, I honestly think I may pick up a few more. Very useful!!

This light is soo bright I love it takes your face in a picture from dull to amazing! Also love all the other fun colors it comes with. Can be used with a dslr camera or for your regular phone camera.
