Love the flexibility of these small lights. Wish they were a bit brighter for still photography uses, but they are great accent lights for video, vlogging and similar uses. Interface could be a bit better but given the size and cost, it's workable.

The media could not be loaded. This is a small light of about 4.25-inches in length. BUT for its small size, the light output is VERY bright. It’s enough to be used for most photography light boxes (see my images). You can use it as a video camera light as well. At just 25% brightness, the video camera will be able to see everything in 0-lux (pitch blackness) ambient light. You can adjust every single color of hue + saturation levels. You can adjust brightness from dim to max light if you want. It states 2 hours of battery life at maximum brightness output and I was able to get around 1hour, 55minutes with a single charge. It comes with 20 lighting effects that you can choose from (see my video). Those are more for “fun” or in case of some emergency (car outage at night, etc). It’s plenty bright to see from 200ft away easily. Especially when it is in flashing patterns, there’s no way you do not see the distraction at night time light levels. I used it in a soft box to demonstrate the amount of light you can get and it’s decent. It’s at the limits of brightness level, however. You would need something that is around 8-10watts brightness for a nicely lit soft box. This one is around 6watts max. Not disappointing at all, however. There are some lightweight magnets to the side that you can grip onto any steel surface. It’s handy when you need to use this say for under your vehicle hood work when you are in trouble. It also has two 1/4-inch screw adapters for 1/4-inch screw mounts. This comes in handy for tripods and cold shoe mounts. Bottom line is this is one really useful lighting device. It can be used for photography and video, emergency situations, party lighting, and you can get a bunch of these at this low price ($30 w/20% discount) at the time of this writing and chain them up individually to set up a 3-way lighting scenario. The built in battery is long lasting enough and with the tripod mounts you can use them while camping too. Comes with usb-c charging cable and the light itself. I’d like for this to be IPX6 rating at least so I can use it while it’s wet outside. I don’t expect water-proofing but would be useful for water resistance. The OLED display is nice and bright and gives the light a hi-tech look appeal. Buttons are easy to press and functions are easily adjusted using the few buttons available. Manual includes pictorials so even the ones who can’t read will understand. There’s just an endless amount of ways you can use this light - best of all easily mountable and the durable plastic enclosure is robust. There’s no glass so nothing to shatter either. Mount on a bicycle and you can have a decent light output too. Just too many ideas to use for! Solid 5-Star product. I really like this light a lot! ... show more

Neewar makes some quality camera gear and this mini portable light stick is no different. I like that it illuminates in a variety colors and brightness, the OLED screen on the back is bright and easy to read. The buttons to configure your preferred lighting conditions are easy to use and navigate. The built in magnet works great (see photo of light on fridge). The light stick has mounting holes on both ends as well. While this is advertised as having many different light modes, I think for most use cases you will probably only use 2 of them. The rest of the lighting modes are more of a gimmick in my opinion, or a very niche use case if that is what you are looking for. For practicality purposes, this mini light stick will give you a better light than what is on your cellphone or maybe even certain cameras. The color light will give you some slight accent lighting, but don’t expect similar results as a full blown light stick. If you need a compact, portable and very capable light stick, this is a good one. ... show more

    • Great light, not the best effects
This is a great light for some kick or even to hide above to mimic a light bulb. The modes are easy to cycle through and accessing the various settings in each of the three main areas (CCT, FX, and HSI) is easy and simple. The color variations in the HSI mode are brilliant. Reds, blues, greens, yellows and everything else give off a wonderful radiant light that you can of course dim or decrease/increase the saturation to your liking. The CCT mode is wonderful of course with a healthy range from 2500K to 8500K. Now onto the not so great. The FX mode offers a lot of choices but the majority of them are unusable. Candle light, police car, ambulance, fireworks, paparazzi, etc. all fall way short of usable in most shooting cases. They are just too bland. However, the Faulty bulb and Emergency flashing light are kinda cool. So all isn't lost. This light really should have magnets available or embedded. With smaller lights like these, it's a must. That way hanging/mounting above is much easier and simpler, or even mounting off to the side. The 1/4 20" receiver is nice, but not enough to be honest. All in all, even with the drawbacks, it's function and use outweigh the negatives. ... show more

    • Not a bad RGB LED light
I've been slightly collecting some pocket RGB LED lights to add to my arsenal for photography and as accent lights or replacing practical lighting for video. This little light isn't bad! I really like how there's 1/4-20 points on both ends. I wish the magnets were a little bit stronger and the plastic housing didn't feel as cheap. But for the pricepoint of this light, I can't complain. Easy to use, decently bright for its size, and definitely fits in any kit. ... show more
