This light is pretty solidly built. It's not particularly small. Although it's still portable, it's a bit bulky. The light is bright and fully adjustable, which is nice. I wear glasses and no matter how I position it, the light reflects right off of my glasses. I need a light to be higher than my face and on an angle. I find the reflection distracting. The cable is USB-A to USB-C. I only have USB-C on my mac, so I require a different cable or adapter or dongle to use this. Boo! Overall, a solid light for zoom, particularly if you don't wear glasses.

Neewer consistently delivers excellent photographic equipment at exceptional value. (Sorry to sound more like a commercial than a critical reviewer, but it's how I feel.) The PL81 is no exception. The light is lightweight mostly made of plastic. The controls work easily, spring loaded knurled knobs make it easy to set. It comes with a cinch sack for storage. And the price is right. I find it better luminance and quality than many of the competing versions of this light. The light from the PL81 without the diffusion cover measured 565 LUX at .5 meter, with the diffusion cover 335 LUX at .5 meter. This is plenty of light to help out with a video conference. There is a nice soft quality to the light. Notice the shadows in the photo of Woody. It can be run off an external USB battery (not included) if A/C is not available. (see photo)

This light has everything you need for Zoom meetings or streaming. The top two corners have controls for both brightness and warmth that span the whole gamut from blinding white to candlelight. The included stand is extra thoughtful; it's super sturdy for standalone desk use and has a "hook" that can mount atop a monitor. It's easy to put anywhere and control, can improve your lighting no matter what your ambient light situation is, and is very well made. Highly recommend.

This NEEWER light is of very good quality. As a matter of fact, NEEWER is well known for bringing good quality photography products at affordable prices. This light is no exception. It's easy to hook up with the included USB cable, (needs constant power, no battery). The light's base can be placed on top of a monitor or laptop screen as shown in the pictures or as a table top stand. Operation is easy, it has thumb wheels on upper corners to control light tone and intensity. Very happy with this product.

I've got a ton of NEEWER products--they never fail to deliver a well made and highly functional product at a value price point. No surprise that this light is also a winner. It works great as a light for video conferencing/calls and has replaced my 'name brand' light designed especially for that purpose. Simply put, the NEEWER light is better. It's brighter, more customizable and has a smaller form factor which makes it easier to carry when traveling. You can also remove the diffuser and use the light for photo/video work or just getting some more light in a dimly lit hotel room. Highly recommended!
