I was very happy with how these seems to be constructed. I was not worried at all throwing a small rig on top of 3 of these. There’s plenty of mounting points and they are very easy to use. The media could not be loaded. Easy to use. Holds up my GoPro well when driving 80mph, haven't gone sideways with it yet but will test later. As long as it's a flat clean surface it will hold.

The key, at least for me, with this smooth surface pressure mount is how reliable it is when holding my valuable photographic equipment. My first leakdown test to see how durable its hold would be turned out to be a disappointment. This initial surface was a smooth wooden bench with a plastic ‘varnish’ finish. It feels glass smooth to the touch but it barely achieved a full seal and then leaked to the point where it lost its safety seal in less than a half hour. My next test was a good deal more encouraging. I used my kitchen tile, which is vitreous and thus the same as a flat autoglass window or a painted metal surface again, similar to those found on shiny automobiles. Please see the image of this test at the time, over four hours, when I terminated it because I figured the point was made. I did not clean or moisten the tile for this test. After the four hours elapsed, I could not dislodge this device from the tile nor was the safety line on the pump button visible. I’d have felt confident having any of my cameras mounted for the entire time. My only disappointment in this was that there was no way to have a male fastener protruding from the swivel surface. To get this with the supplied hardware, I’d need to add the two-ball universal mount and add use the male fastener from its top ball. This adds unwanted height and moment to the arrangement. I’m surprised that there wasn’t a male fastener option added for a few cents which would make this device a good deal more versatile. I did not find the claim that this will work on ‘various’ non-porous surfaces to be supported. An apparently glass smooth wooden one failed. I’d also say this will not work on any glass if there’s much of a curve but I lack the trucks to test this on or the equipment to measure the allowable curvature. Still, for smooth, flat glass or painted metal, this works like a charm – but would be enhanced with a double male fastener included. ... show more

    • Solid Suction! Magic arm is kinda meh though
If you have different arms or mounts i'd recommend using those instead of the included magic arm. This supported a 2 action cam rig in cages with mics and batteries with no issue. The vacuum pump works well and as long as you have a clean surface and follow the directions it'll say put. I've used singe smaller suction mount before but none as robust as this. Should be able to support most DSLR and mirrorless cameras with no issue, The 360 swivel feels smooth and has markings from 0 to 360 as well. an understated feature in my opinion, the base also has plenty of locations with 1/4 20 threads, ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Well this thing Sucks or should I say Vacuums . I felt comfortable enough to toss a small camera tripod head onto this and drive down the road to test it. I love the fact you can see how much vacuum this has as the line will appear hopefully giving you a few minutes to stop and reset. I have tried a duration test with this on a clean piece of glass and it was released by morning so Im assuming about 5-6 hours of good adhesion. I like the fact it has MULI 1/4 20 and 3/8 mounting holes on the top plate and on the sides (those were 1/2 20 holes) I did not have my Action 3 so I used my GH5 and I will not mount this to the hood again. WOW that was bumpy.. On the Glass is more rock solid. Maybe near the edges you may get better stability but On glass gives you the les bumps and shaking. Neewer keeps making really cool gear and they hit it out of the ballpark with this one as I have had a few of these suction mounts. None have had this many mount points. I would not dare to utilize all of them as I do not know what the hold force this has and I could over do it with Cameras and Lights and microphones all hanging or sitting on this one suction cup. I have a feeling this would be a great mount for a monitor when using a driving rig for the camera (one that hangs on the door frame) The build is very nice Aluminum and the Vacuum button is quick to add vacuum to your mount. The cover for the rubber vacuum disk does not stay on during transport . Meaning you pick it up and it may fall off I know mine did so I had to carry the whole thing from the bottom. Would have been nice for a them to include a bag for protection. Pros: Strong Vacuum easy to see visually if the vacuum is still strong (white line on vacuum pump) Multiple mounting options Action camera mount and short arm included Cons: Cover for Rubber Vacuum plate falls off easy. ... show more
