These are well-made stands and especially at this price point. I got 2 for around $43. The only reason I’m not giving these a 5* is the rods stick a bit when you’re raising the stand during setup and to raise lights. This is NOT a deal breaker however. I purchased this stand for use with - Neewer 150W 5600K LED Video Light It holds the weight of the light by itself just fine, even fully extended. The stand seems like it needs help when you add a softbox, even a small 18"x36" like the neewer one I purchased. So far it seems to be holding up very well, joints stay tight, and the base stays in place as well. I think it's made to hit a price point, as an affordable entry level stand for their lights. Which it nails perfectly in my opinion. I dont regret the purchase but if I had to do it over, I would find something a bit heavier duty, or more towards the pro side of light stands. 3 gave it 3 stars due to the small footprint, and it should have included sandbags IMO. (Even for a few bucks more) ... show more
