This has become one of my favorite new things that I have bought this year! What would otherwise have been stills, or careful shoulder mounted motion, has become a new level of engagement with my art! Upon arrival, I was excited for the new slider. But, now that I have worked with it for several weeks now, I can honestly say that I am absolutely impressed with everything about it! It is a fantastically designed and very well thought out piece of equipment! Just the fact that the battery is optional, I found out while using it today, you can directly plug in a usbc powerbank and use it. Between my camera, lighting, this slider, etc, I ran out of battery options and was absolutely floored that I could plug in a usbc powerbank and keep on working. This slider comes with a battery, which is excellent, I pushed what I was doing and was a battery short 😏. The slider has effectively changed the way I am capturing footage. I have been using it to document work being done in my workshop and what otherwise would be stills, has become materials that I can use for YouTube, my website, a documentary, etc. Things that just were not possible to be used as motion have all, because of the slider, become usable motion which can be edited to make more of a story with my final material. That's my excitement for the slider! This particular slider was my top pick because of its perfect size, solid and lightweight materials, and ultimately expandable versatility. Just today I captured the underneath of a detailed object and was able to change to an almost upright camera position by using a waffle board mount. The sliders mount and positioning allowed that possibility. I find things about it with each use that give new hidden functionalities. It is just such a well designed tool! It is easy to use, set up, and understand. You can see that my camera is a workhorse and quite hefty. I imagine that I am pushing the limits, and the tool keeps going strong! The carbon tube and aluminum are lightweight and very strong. It is very well built and made of strong materials. Everything about it functions perfectly! I am very happy with my decision to buy this model. It is amazingly priced for how well built it is, the materials it's made of, and how well designed it is. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a motorized slider! It will absolutely transform the way you are producing materials!

The media could not be loaded. I'm a big fan of the NEEWER brand. They have great products at reasonable prices. This slider is no exception. It came in a nice carrying case which makes it so convenient. Although there were instructions for assembly, what I received was already pre-assembled. I love that it already came with a battery and to my surprise, the battery had a USB-C port so you can charge it directly without using a charger. It came with a USB-C cable, but I just used my phone charger. You may indeed use the slider as-is since there are 4 fold out legs that you can rest on a desktop. However, for ultimate versatility I highly recommend using a tripod with a slider stabilizer (which NEEWER also sells) which will not only stabilize, but also allow a variety of configurations. I'm new to videography and even neewer (ha!) to using sliders, but setup was fairly simple: 1. Attach slider to tripod with included ball head to a tripod with stabilizers. 2. Attach camera and insert fully charged battery. 3. Use the NEEWER app on smartphone as a remote. Bluetooth connection to the app was quick and The slider was very responsive to the app controls. I was impressed at how smooth and quiet the motor functioned. There were also cables included in case you wanted to hook it up to your camera to do time lapse. The app calculates everything for you. I have yet to try that function, but very excited to use in future projects!

It has a max payload around 11 lbs (about 5 kg), weighs roughly 8.67 lbs, and is foldable for portability (folded size approx. 12" x 4" x 4"). Neewer (a popular budget-friendly brand for photography/videography gear). This motorized slider is aimed at content creators, filmmakers, vloggers, or photographers wanting automated smooth pans/tracking shots without manual pushing. I also had to improvise with two tripods: one heavy-duty, and the second was a cheaper-grade. I was pushing it, But it worked for the practice. For testing, I had this on the FASTER speeds, just to see it's durability and stability. Needless to say, it did not disappoint, even with a cheap tripod! I want more practice with this, but after I get another heavy duty tripod, and/or stabilizers to properly accommodate this slider. (Again, use heavy-duty tripods.) App Function: The initial Bluetooth connection can sometimes take a little extra time or require a quick restart of the slider (or phone Bluetooth) to pair smoothly, but once connected, issues are usually minimal. Overall, the interface is straightforward and intuitive, providing excellent fine-tuned control speed, time-lapse settings, video modes, and more. I recommend picking up the optional rechargeable 2.4G remote listed, just so you're not relying solely on the app itself. Plus, it gives you more flexibility and reliable control options during shoots. For power/charging and batteries: This is powered by the included NP-F750 battery or a 5V 2A Type C portable charger. F550, F750 and F970 are all compatible with the slider's battery port as well. But power length can vary by battery type and usage. You can charge the battery on the slider port, or the included battery can also charge by itself, with a USB-C cord. This is NOT a fast charging battery, it will take time some time to fully recharge. However, this is designed to where you can use the slider, continuously (for hours), without interruption. Even while charging, or with a portable charger. Overall, it's a perfect entry-level motorized slider for creators wanting cinematic movement on a budget (especially good for time-lapse nature/product shots or simple video tracking). If you're upgrading from manual sliders and don't need ultra-heavy-duty gear, it's a great upgrade option, that provides good value for the price.
