Well built. Does straight paths repeatedly. No vibration. I only use the lowest speed. The Neewer xl 400 starts and stops smooth. The only improvement would be having an actual remote as I use it only with an IPhone so the app doesn’t help.

I wasn't sure about this but decided what the heck and soooo glad I did. This is heavy, large and fantastic! It's powerful, too. I am a sole creator and needed something to add dynamic moves to my videos and wanted something I could also use on myself. This did not disappoint. I even had an insta360 invisible stick attached to gain height with a Hohem M6 and iphone 13 max pro attached and this thing remained balanced, steady and did not hesitate. Worth every penny. LOVE!

Update: today I found out that unless the ground that this is on is completely flat it will vibrate your footage a lot. To the point where stabilization cannot correct it fully. Unless you are looking to use this on a completely flat surface I wouldn't recommend this. Update: okay so now that I've used it and I've seen the capability that it offers even though it is jittery which definitely sucks but hopefully editing programs can stabilize it because the footage that you're able to get you just wouldn't be able to get without it. So I have to admit even with his flaws it is definitely a fun tool to have in your Arsenal. That said I still stand behind what I stated in my first impressions of this review as well. Definitely room for improvement and not the best design. I will also add that it is difficult to get it to go completely straight at level 5 considering it's jittery movement seems to move to the left or right even at 0 First impressions: First off the only way to charge it and see it charging. Is to turn it on and hook it up to your phone app so that has a charging indicator. There is not one on the unit. There is nothing in the directions anywhere about charging it but it does tell you to make sure to charge it before use. Another part I really like is that it says do not put in the Sun There is no point A to point B on the unit or available in the app Then to make the app even worse there are limitations. It forces you to use 12 seconds minimum and a distance of 66 at least Honestly for $190 this has a really bad design Then you get to the footage you're able to get. Even at speed level 1 on a flat surface it shakes but level five it really shakes even on a flat surface Comes with the cheapest flimsy phone holder possible I wish I would have bought a later design that didn't have the bugs. So... You will spend your hard earned money on this product... It works well BUT!!! One of the wheels does not make contact with the running surface. Thankfully it isn't one of the drive wheels When I spend this much cabbage, I want major details paid attention to. Hope your product is delivered to you balanced.

The media could not be loaded. The product I am reviewing is the D400 model. This miniature dolly is heavy duty! The device weighs nearly 4 pounds which allows to create smooth footage at different speeds as well as angles. I've taken a video to show what the fastest speed is (level 5) at the most extreme angle (30 degrees) and circled the case that the product arrived in. The degree markers and LED display is clear for repetitive results! It's also a great tool for timelapses. I usually will take timelapses of clouds, the night sky (stars) and setting up my equipment during my camping adventures. This allows you to add some extra movement without the need to crop in post. As mentioned before, it is fairly heavy, so I wouldn't plan on hiking with it. You can easily throw this is a bag and into your car though. I know that not everyone likes downloading apps on their phones, so it's nice to see that this can be used independently of that. Use is limited to setting the speed and direction only, with the need to manually start/stop it when you're done. This can be enough, though if you are an independent film maker, you might want more control (travel path beginning and end, remote access, etc.). Overall, I like having this tool in my arsenal for making my footage that much more professional. It's not something you need for all your shots, though you may end up using it more than you expected. It supports the weight of a mirrorless/DSLR, phone and/or action camera with rubberized wheels for all-terrain use. I can happily recommend this!
