I ordered this because I was looking for the darkest, deepest purple embroidery floss I could find. I did still get that; it's just not as dark as the photo shows. (I've used a lot of the floss already, so the photo I uploaded is edited to more accurately reflect what the shades look like.) I really like the cool tone of the darker shades, but the lightest three shades are difficult to tell from one another. The strands of this embroidery floss are more tightly wound than the floss I typically buy from the craft store, and the floss itself is a bit rougher and doesn't have any kind of sheen, so this is fine for friendship bracelets, but I wouldn't recommend it for actual embroidery. ... show more

This floss is by far the worst floss I have ever purchased. It's hard and crusty feeling. The colors are pretty but dang, it's terrible. I do not recommend.

    • These are decent
I’m used to working with DMC thread, but wanted to try something else. These were just ok. In my experience they will do the job, but be aware that if you plan to wash it, the colors bled for me. Thankfully I tested first before starting the project.
