  • Dont Listen To The Poor Reviews...Seriously.
Platform: Xbox One Edition: Standard
First let me address all these poor ratings. These raters are voting out of context. A lot of these people are die hard racing game fans that prefer simulation styled play such as forza. Forza advertises as a simulation game. Need for Speed DOES NOT try to claim to be a simulation game. Yea its a racing game, and on that note there should be a feeling your driving a real car- but there are different levels of that. Most games put a twist on reality to make it more fun. Thats what need for speed is. Most of these guys coming in from forza trying to bash this game are like military veterans who've seen action coming in giving call of duty one star because theres no bullet drop, no limb damage when you throw a grenade, no post tramatic stress when you return to the "home" screen (see what i did there). Like the standard your setting isnt appropriate for what youre critiquing whatsoever. Need for speed doesnt say "hey, we're going to give you the real life experience of feeling like youre sitting behind a porshe". They dont advertise for that. What the advertise is "hey, we're giving you a great GAMING experience, and you can do it in a porshe." So thats the truth regarding all these negative comments. These reviews are rating out of context. Forza and need for speed may be both racing genre games but they target different totally experiences. I cant emphasize how wrong these people are for comparing this to forza. You dont go and buy Halo 5 then give it one star because its nothing like Battlefield 4 (same genre...different experiences)...like seriously. Now, to my personal review: 4.5 stars. If you like customizing....you need to get this asap. You can make anything and apply it to the car however you want using the tools they give you. I'm attaching a photo of a car I made being inspired by the Halo 5 controller just to show what I mean. As long as you can think it you can make it! The options even go beyond cosmetic but functional as well. A lot of people fall in love with one specific nfs game and feel like all the other games suck since it doesn't have the same feeling. But with enough tweaking in this game you can adjust it so the physics and drifting feels like any previous nfs game you've fell in love with. I'm deducting .5 stars is because the colors you create on the car can often look totally different when you take it out of the garage because of all the lighting effects they have in the open world. So those blues in the car I've shown really look green when I'm driving it, which I don't like. And i agree with a lot of the one star reviewers that its kinda silly theres no manual option. The actors are also crap and the dialogue is as cheesy as ever but that's just need for speed it comes with the territory lol. If you're on Xbox one feel free to add me for crew riding(more points plus it looks b.a.) Gt WoundedCyborg ... show more

  • Alright, let's cut the crap & settle this... Admit it. This game is PURE FUN.
Platform: Xbox One Edition: Standard
This game isn't Drive Club & it is definitely not Forza. So the consumer needs to stop trying to make it like that. This game is something of its own. I purchased this game because I love cars. As I started playing it, it made me mad, angry & furious but I also convinced my friends & family to buy it so we could play online together because it was just so fun. This game is one of its own. I grew up playing NFS & it won't ever be like the originals but like I said, it's one of its own. One of the things I love the most about this game is the customization. I'm a bit of a minimalist when it comes to cars. I enjoy the "sleeper" aspect but when it's time to get creative, this game gets down & dirty. EA is also dropping new updates every month to improve the game & is constantly adding discounts to purchase parts. So for all you Forza-holics (I do appreciate the game also), stop comparing it to Forza or the other driving games on the market. It's built to play with friends & have FUN! And you can even customize the freaking brake calipers. C'mon. You have to give this game a try. Just have some fun. ... show more

  • Ignore the bad reviews: If you enoy the NFS series, BUY this game.
Platform: Xbox One Edition: Standard
If you love the Need for Speed series of games, then you will enjoy this. I've personally got no negative comments for this game as I've been able to be preoccupied for hours doing the random races and events you're given to do. Most people want to try and compare this game to the other racing games that are out there and it is definitely not like Forza, as people have complained about. I thoroughly enjoy this game. The graphics are great, customization is much better along with tuning your car, etc. It combines the feel of the NFS games that have been out in the past plus adds the intensity and fun that was NFS Most Wanted. Internet is required for this game, which I already have, but would see it being the only thing preventing others from purchasing if you want to just do a story line without having to have an internet connection. All around this is a good game to play if you enjoy taking some time to build your own cars, and have fun racing. For the price brand new, you cannot beat it! Its definitely worth the buy. ... show more

  • Awesome Game!
Platform: Xbox One Edition: Standard
Need for Speed is an online racing game from the gaming series Need for Speed. Need for Speed is the newest game in the series. This game was made by trying to bring together all of the best features from the old games. Although the idea of the game is good there are some things EA could have done better. The cons of the game are what really stick out the most. First off, the game is an online game meaning that you have to be connected to the internet in order to play. The game play takes place on an online map that allows other gamers to drive on. This means while you are driving around for the campaign you will see other gamers on your map. It would have been nice to have the campaign offline. The multiplayer really has nothing to it. You can invite the players that are in the same world as you to come race and that it. There is no mode where you can take your car and race random people. Despite the cons to the game I believe the pros outweigh them. One thing that I really like about this game is that you can customize your car more than the last couple of Need for Speed games. You can customize everything from the body of the car to the engine and other performance parts. Some other reviews say they have trouble with not being able to customize their cars the way they want, but I have not had a problem with this. I was also impressed with the graphics on the game. They seemed to be the most realistic in the Need for Speed series. The game play is also easy to get ahold of for gamers first beginning the game. Overall I give this game a 4 out of 5 stars. I recommend this game to any gamer that is looking for a racing game that likes to be able to customize their cars. ... show more
