This might be a bit of a long review, but I am a real person that purchased this with my own hard-earned money. I ordered the twin size soft topper two days ago and it gave my (very) old mattress new life!!! As an Asian-American woman, I’ve been hearing all my life from elders that firmer mattresses are better for your back… but that is only if you are a religious back sleeper. I did not know that if you are a side sleeper, that you need a mattress of medium to medium-firm comfort to support your joints. Context about me (the sleeper): I am a 29 year old 5’4 woman of slender/average build with wide shoulders. I am exclusively a side sleeper that likes to sleep in fetus position most nights. I suffer from herniated discs from my L2 to my SI joint causing sciatica that radiates down my right leg all the way to my ankle, along with torn rotator cuffs from working a blue collar job working double shifts five days a week. I have chronic pain daily and it doesn’t help that my mattress was starting to affect my quality of sleep. Recently the pain was getting so bad that I did so much research regarding my bed set-up. I am sleeping on an almost 10 year old FIRM HARD box spring mattress that does not give side sleepers the softness and support that we need. Sleeping on such a hard mattress caused my shoulders, hips and knees to be in so much pain every day. I cannot afford a new mattress at the moment so I decided the next best thing was to invest in a topper to soften the mattress. I did so much research and decided to take a chance with this topper and I am so glad that I did. As soon as I got the package, I unboxed it and set it up on the floor for it to inflate. That night, I fell asleep so good that I didn’t want to wake up for work. Seriously, it is that amazing. I woke up in such a great mood. Review of Soft Mattress Topper: the item was well packaged but a bit heavy, so if you cannot carry it yourself, have a second person help you. I set it out to inflate, and it took about 4 hours for it to get more plush. It was easy to place on top of the mattress itself. Yes, I can vouch for the cooling properties when using 100% cotton or linen sheets. I sleep hot and this actually made me a little too cold. So if you love a cold bed, this is perfect for you. The only two reasons why I gave it four stars instead of five are: 1) I wish it was thicker, four inches would’ve been even closer to heavenly sleep and 2) there is no straps to stop the mattress topper from sliding around the mattress. But these aren’t dealbreakers because I can work around them. If the chronic pain from a hard mattress sounds like you, give this soft topper a try. I think it is reasonably priced for what it did for me. When I can afford a mattress, I definitely will consider purchasing a Nectar mattress! Everybody deserves to sleep pain-free. P.S. my cat only sleeps on my bed 50% of the time, usually preferring her pet bed. Ever since I put this topper on, she is in my bed all day. Thank you Nectar for giving me hope for more comfort.

I’ll be honest the 2 inch part scared me bc I was CONVINCED I needed something that was 3-4 inches and maybe I do but for now this is EVERY BIT worth the price. It’s not even done getting its form yet & the comfort of this thing is monumental. I have been in severe back pain, every night RESTLESS and just my TEST lay instantly made my back feel better. If you dont already have a firm mattress, this wont help to make yours firmer and more comfortable. I added this to a medium softness mattress that was advertised as firm and this topper winds up with an odd peak in the middle with two people on the bed and overall, you still sink into the soft mattress.

This topper was the perfect fit for a firm hybrid foam mattress. At first it did take a bit to expand and get accustomed to the first few nights. Hands down this makes it feel like a more expensive mattresses and for me the soft feels awesome after a long day. The only thing is it does add 2 inches height so if you have a tall bed it makes it taller.
