After using this to blind any living thing in range, you might not be able to see much yourself until your eyes get use to the dark again. There are brighter lights out there, but I don't think anything brighter than this would be particularly useful for the average person. This light is not for fine detailed work like putting on shoes at a campsite or reading signs at night... this is more useful for illuminating a small field and ensuring nothing unpleasant is lerking in it. It is like a car headlight in your hand. It is also probably suitable as a club. Fun, and useful for some people. ... show more

I have been using Nebo flashlights for 3 years. I have loved them. My favorite was the 8000 lumen. It will stay on for over an hour and still not get hot. And the battery life is amazing. And now, the 8000 lumen is no longer available. Next high lumen option is 12,000. It is very hot! Even when on for 5 minutes off and on in an attic, it was singeing. It burned my leg and my was very hot in my hand. Very disappointed, especially after 3 years of Davinci models. This model needs to be taken off the market if they are all like this one. ... show more
