The first to review. That’s always a little scary, because it’s hard to base a product on how good it is. What I will say is the quality seems top notch. It’s a very affordable window, especially compared to the big box stores. I installed it in about 2 hours. Appearance is great. It’s a perfect size little window bathroom for some good light and ventilation. It worked exactly how I wanted it to. The slide mechanism is very smooth. I really do like how it’s tempered glass as well. A lot of windows are panes, and become extremely dangerous if broken. It comes with nails, not that they are bad, but I opt for some flush screws to make it easier to install. Overall very satisfied!

This window impressed me as soon as I unpacked it. I had purchased another cheaper type of window from this same maker which was promoted for outbuilding use only. It did not open and did not use tempered or double-insulated glass. That window was not insulated at all. It was decent and only around $22 for 12x12 inch version. I found it to be a good product but when I ordered this one I was concerned that the same maker might not be able to make a more refined, full-featured window for use in living spaces. This window allays such fears as I find this window to live up to the claims in its product description. I find it to be suitable not just for basements or utility rooms but also for *some* living spaces. Personally, yes I would use this window in a space like a kitchen above a countertop. However some people might not be satisfied with that. While this window looks good, a keen eye could see it's not high end. It only opens half way, so ventilation use is not maximized. The movable pane cannot be removed for cleaning whereas with high end windows the movable pane is very easily removed. Finally, this window takes a bit of strength to open. I have not tried lubricating the channel, and it has loosened up some with repeated opening and closing, but children and arthritic adults might struggle a bit to open and close this window; it sticks slightly near the closed position and then slides easier after the sticking point. I don't mind this because I feel the stickiness reflects a nice, tight seal against heat escaping. This could be a surface-mounted window or could be integrated into rough framing. Being vinyl, the mounting surfaces aren't going to be as strong as metal, but there are numerous screw holes to help solidify the installation. The vinyl is also thick and strong for vinyl. I had to flex it in order to determine the mounting surface was vinyl as it was stiff enough that I thought it might be aluminum. This product is built pretty strong, which is evidenced in its considerable heft. For a clean appearance in a surface-mount installation, adding wood or vinyl trim pieces that cover the screws may be desirable, especially since the included screws are stainless steel, a silver color that shows up conspicuously against the white vinyl. I could ding this product a star for not using white-painted screws, but I feel it's very minor, so I do rate this product five stars (though I'd like to see a lower price than the current $85 for 12x24). As to arriving at a star rating I am torn between four and five. I feel while it doesn't compare to high-end windows, it is still pretty darn good with some excellent features. The window assembly really has considerable heft, reflecting a lot of care that went into its design with the double-insulated, tempered glass and generally robust construction. I think most buyers will be pleased with this product as a basement or bathroom or enclosed porch window. Some might find it acceptable for kitchens though others would not.

Awesome, awesome, awesome!! Perfect size. Arrived in outstanding condition. All the measurements in the listing are accurate. It has a good weight to it. It opens and closes smoothly. The finish is even and without scuffs or bent parts. The screen is pristine and tight. It's a very versatile size and shape for all sorts of installs. I'm using it to replace my car hauler old pass through window. I installed it in 20 minutes. It was a breeze. It feels very sturdy. All the parts feel solid. It looks very pretty and high end. It would also be great for a shed, playhouse, tiny home, RV, van conversion and so much more. Also upon mounting it, I am confident I could've installed in vertically as well and not just horizontally. It's pretty user friendly and flexible for different ways of approaching it. I am a diy'er and not a professional and this felt like the most daunting project when I drew out my plans. In the end , it turned out to be one of my easiest ones. This window has lots of mounting holes on all sides. It's well balanced in weight so it was easy to level. And it locks firmly. I'm impressed!!

I got this window to put in my shed so its not so dark in there when the wind shuts the door. I'm not in a position to rate its thermal values, but for my purposes it will work well for my shed. There was some debris and manufacturing nits, but nobody lives in my shed. It also contains screws and clear instructions on the install process. The instructions mention a hack saw, but some sort of chainsaw is displayed, I'm pretty sure someone attempting to install this would already have a cutting tool in mind. It also mentions flashing tape which will need to be acquired outside this purchase. The window slides with a good coefficient of friction appropriate for a window, and the latch appears pretty sturdy. It was pretty well packed with white Styrofoam around the edges and a thicker cardboard box. Before ordering, remember the dimensions listed are for the outer size and include the white plastic in the dimension. For example the 12" edge on my window has about 8 and 3/8" of glass, so the sizes are for the hole in the wall not the glass.

This is a good quality window as far as I can tell. I'm going to be using it on a chicken coop I'm building, so it was important that it open, and I wanted double pane for insulation. It opens and closes easily, even though it feels very solid and hefty - it's a heavy window for sure. Installation is easy - just screw it onto the opening using the provided screws, and then, for appearance, trim out the screwed flanges. It's a good size for my chicken coop, and there were a large range of sizes available if this one doesn't work for you. Overall it seems to me to be a very high quality good value that I am happy to have received.
