If you are in the same boat, just buy it, you won't regret it. It is well worth the price. She still gets drops of water on the floor here and there from her mouth after a drink, but the difference is noticeable and obvious. We love this!!!!! My dogs, (a 112 lbs. German Shepherd and a 89 lbs. Huskey) are not neat drinkers by far! THIS IS THE GREATEST dish. We use both sides for water. I loved it so much that I bought 2. So now with the 4 water dishes they can slurp all they want and my floors stay dry. We bought a couple for our cats, we have 3 but they are a little intimidated by the high sides. I have a boxer that was always making a huge mess with his water bowl. I would slip on it and fall sometimes! I got a mat for underneath and if I didn't wash it daily it would get moldy. This feeder system has been a life saver! I was worried it would be hard to clean or there would be too much water build up underneath, but neither are true! My husband and I travel in a travel trailer with 5 (yes 5) dogs. We kept tripping over their dog bowls so I decided to try this product and I have to say, I love it. It keeps their food and water in one place, and it's big enough that we see it--we don't kick it. The water bowl is twice as deep as the food bowl which is perfect for my five-dog family since they mostly eat people food anyway. But when they do eat and drink, this thing catches the mess--all you have to do is clean it to see how much of a mess it catches. Everything goes into the bottom. To clean it you just take the two pieces apart and wash. It's a perfect heigh for my small dogs so we didn't even need to buy legs. The dogs love it and so do we. I like that it had a food and water bowl that were elevated. The water bowl is slightly larger which is nice to reduce the number of times it needs to be filled. It also has an over flow area that will catch any slobbers and splashes before they hit the floor.

Half mastiff puppy gets more food and water outside his bowl than in his tummy. This has been great for containing the water and food that he laps out of the bowl, and along with the mat, keeping food and water off the walls and floors.
