This is not my first purchase of the "Neater Feeder". There's nothing I've ever found that comes close to ease of use, cleaning, neatness...and our little guy loves it. My 6 mo. old husky mix was getting water all over our floors despite the large silicone mat we had her bowls on. I actually saw this weeks ago and didn't buy it because of the price. If you are in the same boat, just buy it, you won't regret it. It is well worth the price. She still gets drops of water on the floor here and there from her mouth after a drink, but the difference is noticeable and obvious. No more large pools of water and water tracked all over the place. This thing really works and contains the vast majority of the mess. In addition, it is very sturdy and well built. This isn't made of cheap flimsy plastic...its substantial, and the bowls are very nice too. I needed the large one and the water bowl is huge. More than big enough that it lasts a whole day. I'm very happy I decided to pull the trigger on it.

This is a great feeder. The bowls are a good size, it’s easy to clean and looks nice and kept the wall and floor clean. However our senior dog did not like it. We’re not sure exactly what the problem was, it appeared that he didn’t like the high edges. He would not eat from it. The seller was great and allowed us to return the feeder.

My one cat is always playing with the water and splashing it with her paws. When doing some remodeling, I found damage from all her splashing. I was looking for an item with a backsplash to protect the wall. This system does that and contains the water for easy cleanup. Very happy I found this pet dish system. The only negative I have is that it came with different sized bowls. One is meant for the water and is slightly deeper. I wish both bowls were the bigger bowl as I only use it for water.

Only two reasons why I’m not giving this five stars. It’s expensive and to second other reviewers, what is with these companies not just putting the label on the inside of the dish, but also using glue that makes it so difficult to remove?! That said, I was in desperate need of something that prevents my 60 lb senior dog with disc disease, arthritis, and cognitive issues, from creating a waterfall multiple times a day by knocking over or trying to climb over his bowls that were previously on an elevated platform. I was a little concerned that it might not be wide enough to get his head in there to eat or drink comfortably, but that doesn’t seem to be an issue. In fact, the raised sides help steady him when he sways. I have previously tried one of those elevated metal stands with legs, but it was so unstable and the dish not nearly secure enough. The mess was almost as bad.

It was hard to spend this much on a feeder for my very messy eating dog, but the mess we had to clean up every time our Irish Setter ate was driving us crazy. We tried bigger and deeper bowls and used bigger and bigger area rugs to limit the dry food and water from spreading over the kitchen floor but this never really worked. Within 4-5 feet of her old feeding area you could always find dry food and a lot of water, after slipping twice from water on the floor my wife said Fix it NOW!! Next Best thing? So I researched and read tons of reviews on all types of feeding setups but the "Neater Feeder" seemed to cover all of our needs, but cost was double the other raised bowl systems. But the overall design seemed to cover all of our needs and I figured if it did not at least improve the mess by 50% I'd return it. WOW!!! This Neater Feeder all but eliminated the issues by at least 90%, we no longer have to sweep up dry food every day and keep a roll of paper towels close by to wipe up the water on the floor, we don't even have to use a rug under the unit. Wife is happy, which makes my life sooo much better. We got the "Large" feeder since we have an Irish Settler [10 months], I was afraid the large would be too high for her but I thing the height helps lessen the mess. System Design and Bowls The "Neater Feeder" design was well thought out and it does cover almost any messy eating habits of your dog. The high outside walls and separate water drain keeps the dry food and water contained very well. In most cases any food that falls out of my dogs mouth hits the sides and falls back into the bowl or rolls down to the drain. The area were the bowls sit is slightly sloped to the drainage slots in the front of the top tray. This channels spilled water and food nicely, since the water is drained to a lower compartment the dry food stays dry enough for my dog to just eat that too. Both bowls are aluminum so they will never rust. I was worried the bowls would not be big enough, but they are and the water bowl is bigger [deeper] than the food bowl. After a few feedings we found filling the water and food bowls 2/3's or less also greatly reduced the mess too. The food bowl holds more than our dog eats at one time, since we have only one dog the food bowl always has food in it. The bowls are easily removable since there is a cutout on the holder to put your finger in to remove each bowl. I highly recommend you give this "Neater Feeder " a try, if you are tried of cleaning up that area when your dog eats or drinks it worth it. It's nice not to have to clean up this area every time we walk into the kitchen or have people over.

Got 2 10 month old siamese and one of then is fascinated with water and watches it swirl after he drinks then moves my entire old cat dishes across the entire kitchen with water everywhere multiple times a day. It was driving me crazy so I came upon this and ok I admit I was skeptical but desperate so I bought 1 to see if this works. OMG--I love it. The deluxe cat has high back area to prevent splashing on my cabinets and adds privacy so other cats can't just bogart in. Water just goes down the holes and now Winston has no desire to move the thing!!! Keeps the messy kibble inside too ---what a winner!! The thing comes with 2 size bowls which frankly are perfect for moist and dry cat food and the water bowl is just a little bigger---but perfect. I ordered another one for the other siamese and another for my senior tux cat. Expensive but sooooo worth it and a problem solver indeed!!!
