It might work for a while, but it is far from being able to last for long with the power it takes to release the latch pins. This rope seems to be of quality. It works well so far. Update . The rope after a mere two months has snapped. It is not strong enough to lift a trolling motor.

I'm not sure the original purpose for this rope but I needed it to lower a pump into a well and it is perfect for that! Seems sturdy but not super thick. The handle is well attached and comfortable to hold. Exactly what I was looking for! Recommend.
