I bought this just to help my elderly dog have more traction - it worked mostly because it's so soft he just sleeps on the rug instead of walking to his bed lol. I'm not sure if the instructions say spot wash only (I'm not super concerned) but after putting it in the washer it seems to have messed up the padding inside the rug. Had this for all of one day before my kid spilled on it and my dog peed on it. Put it in the washer on warm water and delicate cycle, air dried, and it was like new. Winner winner! That deserves a gold star in my book. It's soft and plush, especially considering the price.

So, I read the reviews some were good some were terrible when I first got it it was all wrinkled up on the floor and it had waves in it and it looked really bad. I let it sit for a couple of days like that and it really didn’t get any better so then I put it in my dryer just stuffed it in there, put it on a steam dry cycle. It’s like a wrinkle guard thing got it wet got it hot dried it. It was still a little damp when I pulled it out but it laid flat and it looks wonderful. It seems to be getting thicker and softer. So, I bought these soft rugs for my daycare. Now, I love them; don't get me wrong. But they are the wrong choice if you have small children. Getting ANYTHING out of them is a nightmare. Even dust settled into them. If a child happens to spill something on it or get food on it trying to pick that out is a no go. I have tried vacuuming and it gets sucked up by the vacuum. If you don't have kids I'd say it's a great rug! I am attempting to clean the ones I bought for other areas of my home that the kids don't play in then replace with play mats that are easier to clean. It's my own fault, don't let me discourage you but I'm just saying, if you have small children or if you yourself drop food in it... good luck. ... show more
