I was a little leery about buying a portable blu-ray player, but when my fiancée was looking for an easily accessible method to watch her disc collection, I saw no alternative. And we have both been highly satisfied by the results. I will admit that some of the remote functions require patience to truly master, but for a physical media junkie on the go, this little player is a godsend. Video player works well and is easy to use., has handy large tilt screen. Plays DVD's and BlueRay. Accepts videos from USB memory devices. Sound is good and has sufficient volume. Good buy.

Love this portable Blu- ray/ DVD player. It also plays media from advertising cards and USB ports but I haven’t tried those functions yet. The sound is the only thing that is a slight negative for me. It isn’t quite as clear as I had hoped and the volume options are limited as well. Love the simplicity and versatility of the player! No wireless connection with behind the scenes technology analzing what you are watching. Very decent picture quality to boot. I use it for the exercise room when i feel like watching a DVD or a Blu Ray. Normally I use a laptop while I exercise to watch YouTube but sometimes have a craving to watch something from my disc collection, and most computers don't come with a DVD/BR drive. This is perfect, basic built to keep price down is all we need here, and the screen is a good size too! Menu navigation is very fast. So far I havent come across any discs it can't play.     • Battery life???? 3 hours, not hardly
if the only issue was customer service, i would give this 5 stars. the are very responsive and fast and do their best to help resolve the problem Maybe I got a bum machine, but it does not work as advertised. I lowered the volume and that did not help the problem. If your movies are 90 minutes, this is the machine for you, excellent picture, sound is ok (am not looking for superior sound as my ears are far from superior!) I tried to watch a dvd, 123 minutes, it lasted 112 minutes. i skipped right to the movie, so i am taking away 1 star. This, fully charged, brand new out of the box, does not even give enough time to watch an under 2 hour movie on either blu ray or dvd. i looked at all the options, and chose this one, even though more expensive, than my second choice because of the ratings. I can't return it because Amazon only uses UPS and that is not a possibility for me. So, unless you're going to watch short movies or keep in charging, look at something else. ... show more

    • Portable Blue Ray DVD player
This is a fantastic unit! I am so glad I ordered it. I take a lot of on-line Zoom classes where recordings are supplied at the end of the session. I like to download these recordings to a USB for future viewing. I don't always want to view them on my computer and saving them to a USB makes them more portable.. In the past, I could not play these recordings on other units because those units didn't have the codex for Mp4. Those units will be going to the thrift store. This unit will play the Mp4 and that is why I purchased it. It is well-made. It has everything it is advertised to have which is great. I was really impressed with the manual that came with it. It is well written (nothing lost in translation). It is easy to follow and explains everything. You aren't left questioning anything. There is a remote control supplied, plus the two batteries, which you can use for most of the commands like "setup" etc. There is also a plug for using it in the car and AV cords for connecting to a tv. There are two HDMI plugs, one for in and the other for out. There is no HDMI cable supplied so you'll have to provide that yourself. I haven't checked it out yet, but there is a support link given for YouTube. I am just so pleased with this unit. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it and it would make a nice gift for someone. You can use it as a portable monitor, and I even plugged in my Fire TV stick, which worked perfectly. As long as the unit remains plugged it there is enough power from the USB port on it to power the Fire TV stick, though I didn't try using it on battery since I figured it would probably drain pretty quickly. I've tried a few different DVDs on this, and everything worked perfectly fine. The screen looks pretty good, and being able to connect to a projector through the HDMI output is nice as well.
