Nautica is still the highest quality. Beautiful wool blend look and feel. Size is old school standard. Modern sizing seems to have no standard. I’m 5ft 10 in and 320 pounds. I ordered a 4X because I wanted to be able to wear it over a heavy sweatshirt in extreme weather but 3X would have fit fine. The sleeves are too long as I expected they would be but the coat is worth the added cost of having the sleeves altered. Very nice quilted lining too. Very warm and comfortable. You won’t find a better quality coat anywhere and the sale prices make it more than affordable.

I'm 5'7" with a 46.5" chest & 33" waist; I ordered a Large & I've gotta say that it fits pretty well. Not too tight & loose enough to allow for layering, this coat is already pretty warm and is right perfect for a moderately cold climate. Given that it's made of a wool/poly blend, there is little give so it's crucial you know your measurements to compare with the sizing chart. As far as the chest goes, take your measurement and add two to three inches, it should fit alright unless you're going for a more snug fit. Quality-wise, it's made well and the buttons may need to be reinforced later on. The navy blue is nice and the sleeves were the perfect length. Overall, I'm very happy with the purchase since I've been wanting a peacoat for a long time. I had to do a lot of shopping around before I came to this one. I'd say it's worth it BUT you need to know your measurements and use the sizing chart before making a purchase. Know that and add an allowance of a few inches so you can move around or layer. I'm breaking in the coat and am looking forward to showing it off this winter. Stylistically, it dresses up any outfit substantially. I'm a jeans kind of guy and this coat kicks up the formality a few notches...that is, until I take it off to reveal my short-sleeved t-shirt of an otter wearing sunglasses. Aside from that, I'm quite happy with this coat so far!

The biggest beef I have with this jacket is the button, I lost a button within the first month and another one came loose in the same month which is super annoying not really sure why that would happen so if that could be corrected this would be an easy 5/5 especially for the money. Keeps me plenty warm in the Ohio winters but I wouldn't call this a heavy coat, good for colder temps but if you live in say a Canadian winter maybe consider something heavier

I purchased this coat for a "Winter First Date." All of my winter apparel is really casual, so I needed something new, quick, and impressive. I remembered having an official Navy Peacoat 30 years ago when I lived on a Navy base. It was warm, utilitarian, and stylish, so I opted to try for that look and feel again. I'd put on a bit of weight during 2020 (didn't we all) so I wasn't quite sure which size to order. So I ordered an XL and a XXL. They both arrived in two days, and I immediately tried the XXL on first. It was exactly what I expected, a true double breasted peacoat. The XXL fit me perfectly. I'm broad-shouldered and usually have trouble with tailored dress coats, but this fit just right across my shoulders and through my waist. I'm also a shorter guy, so where the coat rests on my thigh is important as well. Everything was just right. The only difference between my official Navy coat and this one is the weight. The Navy coat was slightly heavier, made for handling rough cold seas. This one is just slightly lighter, making it easier to move around in especially during winter driving. But this coat is plenty heavy and plenty warm. As for the XL? I never opened the box. I went right to my PC, printed out my return label, and dropped it off at UPS on my way to my date. BTW... the date was stiff, didn't work out at all. But I'm very glad it motivated me to get this coat!

Happy with purchase, especially for the price. Coat is sturdy, appears to be well constructed and stylish. Saw this coat listed on a 'top 10 Peacoats' list and decided to try it for my son. He is 6'2" and it hits him at the top of his thigh, so a good length. He is happy with it. However, the coats runs large. According to the size chart, we needed a large, ordered it and it was too big. Returned it, got a medium and its great.

This was chosen by my adult son for his Christmas gift from us. He has always wanted one and he absolutely loves it! I have to add that we were astonished at the fine quality, beauty and weight of this jacket. It's heavy! We live in FL but many cold nights and lately, days, so I'm sure it's getting worn. It fit him perfectly and even with a Tshirt and flannel under, it was a perfect fit. He's tall and I worried about arm length, but again, perfect! If you want a classic jacket that's warm and beautiful, here you go! We have seen this exact Nautica jacket at the mall for double what we paid. ❤️
