I've had this tent for over a month now and have already used it 3x, most recently out in the Mojave desert in Joshua Tree NP during mid-October. It was a great test of the tent as it was warm during the day and very, very cold at night. It's built like an absolute tank and can be daunting to set up the first few times. There are a LOT of stake out points, but you can get away with 4 points if there isn't any wind or you're just lazy, otherwise be prepared to make sure you have enough room to properly stake the whole thing out. Everything was already seam taped, the poles are thick and strong, and all stress points seem adequately reinforced. The sleeping capsule mesh inner is extremely roomy with tons of space all around making it a palace for one. 2 people would be pretty snug together, but the massive vestibule would be able to house all the gear making sleeping 2 people very reasonably comfortable. The vestibule is absolutely massive. As you can see in my pictures I could fit my chair and my work table all inside without needing to stretch out under the awning. If I want to crack out a stove, it would sit where the table was. Everything has adequate mesh for both bug protection and ventilation. At night, the vestibule served as my changing room. I personally HATE having to dress or undress laying down in a small tent if I can avoid it. Having so much room made changing while seated an absolute breeze. I should also note that having 3 different available entry points is AMAZING. This is NOT a light tent to hike with by any means, although if you're snow camping it would be perfect for a sled. That said, this is the ultimate car camping 4 season tent at this price point. It is legitimately incredible how much value you will squeeze out of this tent. Even if you NEVER use a stove this tent is still worth it purely for the space, comfort, and utility. It also looks great! ... show more

I'd been eyeballing the Naturehike Mountain Peak for a few months on AE. The moment it showed up on Amazon, I pulled the trigger. With the time change, weather change, and amount of darkness this time of year, I was looking at something that wouldn't take up too much room in my moto luggage, but still provide a little more comfort than being stuck laying down in the typical backpacking tent for so many hours a night. So far the NMP is footing the bill just great. My first use was above 6500ft in Mendocino NF, and it started to rain just after I got set up. It was so nice to chill in a chair in the vestibule, eat a burrito, and read a book. The inner tent and outer fly, alone, in my S2S eVent compression bag comes in at 6.6lbs and is a little bigger than a standard American football. The poles are nice and thick at 10.3mm! Stake-out counts are 7 for the tent and 6 for the guy lines. I love that the inner tent is NOT tapered, has two huge zippered doors, has two useable gear pockets, and has relatively vertical walls (so plenty of room to move around). There's also plenty of (flat) space between the top of the inner tent and the outer fly to throw your puffy, dry out your gloves and socks, etc. Bonus points for having a lamp hook both in the inner tent as well as the primary vestibule. That said, my only legitimate gripe is that the (one) inner tent lamp hook is in a corner, so while the tent is un-tapered and allows head/feet in either direction, if you want easy access to overhead lighting, you have to lay with your head in the direction of the lamp hook. I do have some Ultralight Stick on Loops coming from ZPacks to make this a non-issue. And though I'll probably never use it, I appreciate that the stove jack uses the lighter and more compressible "cotton" fireproof material. I have two other tents with stove jacks, but they use the thicker, grey/silver colored fireproof material that does actually make a difference when stuffing into a compression bag. This is my 8th Naturehike tent in the last 5 years, and along with my VIK 2, is definitely a keeper and will see quite a bit of use. ... show more

Very roomy, but still has a low profile. This might be a little difficult to backpack over long distances, but mostly like in the snow you would not be doing that. Throw it on a sled and drag and you are in great shape. I camp at least once per month and all year round, snow, rain, you name it. This is a very serviceable tent and great value for the price.     • Collapsed Due To Poor Design, Company Won't Replace Poles Under Warranty

Left for work and there was no snow. Got home to find the tent had collapsed in less than 10 hours being left alone. With the way they designed the poles, there's basically a giant bowl on the top of the tent to catch all the snow instead of letting it run off the sides. My $40 Walmart 3 season tent survived just fine. Poles snapped, and company refuses to cover them under warranty. They also don't sell replacement poles for this tent on their website, making it basically useless until I can find a way to rig together custom poles. Which is made difficult by the fact that the tent needs pre-bent poles and has fairly unique attachment points. If this was a summer tent, I wouldn't be so disappointed. But being a hot tent, it should either be shaped to shed snow, or be able to survive being alone for 10 hours. I'm just glad it collapsed in the backyard and not when I was out camping/hunting. It's not unreasonable to get caught out away from your tent in a snowstorm if you have no signal to check the weather and have hiked a few miles, been processing game, went into town for supplies, etc. 1 Star. No reason a tent with custom poles that snap due to its design shouldn't have replacement poles available for purchase, or just not collapsed in the first place. ... show more
