I started using this soap a few years ago because the workers at my local Whole Foods kept pushing it on me every time I was in the body care department--after trying a sample I was a convert. I even met one of the owners of the company (I forgot her name) when she was in Whole Foods doing a demonstration. This is a small company that cares very much about the integrity of their product (they focus and specialize on one item), and the production is traditional and by hand. The soap itself is an ugly brown color which can leave gross looking little brown plops in your shower, but they get quickly rinsed away, and this soap does lather beautifully with a natural sponge or nylon exfoliating cloth. The smell is an intense smoky pine, and I quite like it. The scent really is unique to this brand and other popular brands of pine tar soap seem synthetic in comparison. This soap is the only product I've found in the U.S. that reminds me of the soaps and creams used in Finnish spas. I have sensitive skin that reddens easily and this soap is very soothing. The soap rinses easily and leaves you feeling clean but moisturized. The soap lasts a fairly decent while--maybe two months for me. With that said, it's well worth the price and I'll continue buying it as long as I can.

I first saw Kreamy Pine Tart Olive Bar Soaps about a 2 years ago in Solana Beach, CA at the local Farmers Market on a Sunday Afternoon. At the time I was suffering of back injury which had left me with intense pain in my lower back. Due to high dosage of pain medication for nearly a year, including epidural injections, the skin on my face and back suffered an intense break-up of acne. I used just about every cream, face wash, shaving lotions, and meds for my face, but nothing worked. I still remember my conversation with the lady which told me, You can even try this soap on your hair...! (Lol.) I did owe this review to the Folks of Kreamy Soap from Fall Brook. and I'd like to thank them for this Magnificent Product. The changes on my skin were immediate soon after I bought my first Kreamy Soap. It is very soothing without strong scents or odors, the longevity of this Soap it's also amazing, I use it until I can barely hold it between the tip of my finger and my face. So, it makes it worth every penny. Within a month my face healed and I have never had another case of acne. After using this Soap for almost two years I have to say that there isn't anything out there that can heal your skin in the way that this Soap does. My Wife also uses and she loves it too. I wish I could share my pictures and then you'll see what I'm referring to. I shave at least twice a week with this Soap. I wash my face twice a day, or at least I never skip washing my face before going to bed. I wash my body with this Soap at least twice a week. I know buy them off Amazon 3-4 soaps at time or occasionally on my visits down to San Diego County.

This soap does well for my skin. I bought it as a natural product to use during pregnancy (and I've heard it helps with pregnancy related rashes, helps repel mosquitos, and clears up your skin.) It has not been the miracle cure people have claimed it to be. It has helped clear up my raging hormonal skin slightly (more on my body than my face) and it does leave my skin nice and soft. It has not completely "cured" my pregacne, but it has helped. I also haven't noticed if it helps repel bugs since where I live its 100 degrees and I try to stay in as much as possible! The scent of the soap is not off putting and it does not stain my shower/tub. It does lather a light brown color, but it washes off easily. The scent reminds me of a campfire and is rather strong, but not unpleasant (if you like that campfire smell). It does not linger on my skin very much after I shower.

My points of comparison are with Grandpa's pine tar soap and various makers' "Aleppo" soap (usually 80% olive oil and 20% laurel oil, made by traditional process). First, I love the scent of pure pine tar, the Grandpa's soap smells like a milder version of a freshly opened can of pine tar (I used to use this to condition the soles of wooden skis), but this soap has an odd and at least to my senses, unpleasant combination of pine tar and some other scent, it's also insidious and permeates the entire side of my house that the bathroom is on. For reference, when using the soap, the Grandpa's soap has a stronger scent, but somehow it isn't as persistent. Now for the reason I use these soaps, instead of commercial bath bars: I have dry and irritated skin that responds well to both pine tar and Aleppo soaps, looking at the ingredients of this soap, I was hopeful that it would offer the benefits of both types in one bar ...it doesn't, at least not for me. It isn't without benefit and still beats something like Dial by a wide margin, in that it doesn't cause irritation, but it doesn't come close to either of my regular picks for relief from symptoms. Other reviews vary, with people finding that it works well for them, and some who even like the scent, but unfortunately, I'm not one of them :(

best ever soap! I have used it for at least four years and I never have to use any type of lotion to moisturize my skin and I'm 74 years old. I don't believe there's an odor to the bar. If there is it doesn't last on my skin. And I don't smell like pine tar I tried a different brand and it does stink up the bathroom but not KREAMY soap! I have been exposed to a lot of mold. But never has my skin given me any problems thank you for the great product. Keep up the good work
