Description

TEKTON S2 steel bits are press-fit into the socket for a straight, permanent connection that can't loosen over time. The 6-sided hexagonal tip is machined to precise tolerances for an exact fit with hex fasteners. Its chamfered end easily slides into fasteners, reducing wear.

I generally use my hex head wrenches but several times I’ve wanted to use a torque wrench on hex head bolts so decided to buy a hex head socket set. I’m an old school craftsman guy but since sears went out-of-business and craftsman sold their name and have been suppling sub-standard made in china tools I went to TEKTON about 10 years ago. Tekton provides what sears craftsman used to provide, a quality tool with a lifetime warranty at a decent price, and now many Tekton tools are USA made.. The bracket that holds the bits is very useful, keeping the bits very securely (in fact, they are a bit difficult to remove, so you know you aren't going to lose one unexpectedly). Received the sockets very quickly and in excellent condition. Immediately they showed their superiority to the traditional hex key wrench set, but after a little too much torque on one bolt my 10mm fractured. Curious to check out the advertised lifetime warrantee I made a quick visit to the Texton service website where I uploaded a picture of the broken part and provided a shipping address. Two days later a replacement was in my mail box, very cool. My biggest complaint is now I need a bigger tool box for all the other Texton tools I could use... ... show more

    • Sockets twist off and twist on to lock

So far so good, used a few of them a couple of times. No visible flaws like the bit not installed parrallel to the socket body. I thought the socket rail's were junk at first until I learned that you twist to lock and unlock them, which is way better than the old ones I have that have the metal clips that grab on and don't like to let go. ... show more
