Texture - just perfect, easy to use and apply without clumping in places and goes on smooth across the whole hair. Long lasting control and hold for the entire day. Washes out easily at night unlike some others. A small amount goes a long way (pea sized) making its value a bit better. Great little hockey puck like container made of solid glass, just be a bit careful not to drop on bathroom tiles etc. Great on short hair, not sure about long as don’t have long hair but my wife tried it and said it was nice too. Works very similar to another well known American brand. It's not greasy and has a pleasant smell to it. Gives you an all day hold and washed out well.

I've been using it everyday so far. It's not greasy and have a pleasant smell. I've never liked hair gels but I like this. It's very easy to apply and seems to last throughout the day for me. Overall, I love it.

I have preferred American Crew Fiber for years and like everything about it. I did not expect the Jack Henry paste to be comparable, but it surprisingly is. It is more of cream than the Crew Fiber, which is a heavier paste. However, when you rub each product into your palm, they both create a similarly pliable product that you can easily work through your hair. The Jack Henry actually provides a slightly better hold with less product, and creates a bit more volume. The scent is on the mild side, which is not a bad thing. The product comes in a glass jar with a plastic lid, and is heavier than you might expect. All in all, I recommend this product if you like a strong hold that allows your hair to have some movement throughout the day. It keeps it in place, but it will still feel soft and can be remolded. ... show more

I usually use the Paul Mitchell Tea Tree pomade paste stuff (don't remember exactly but it comes in a container like this, but bigger and green). This holds just as well and doesn't leave a shine, which is what I like for my hair. Sure, if you run your fingers through your hair after putting this in, they'll get "greasy," but all pastes and the like do that. No biggie. Held the style all day too. I've been using Moroccanoil hair clay for a few years now and for the most part have been happy, but always am open to trying out new hair clay, so I picked this one up due to it being all natural. The scent is very subtle but very clean smelling, which both I and my wife liked a lot. The current moroccanoil clay has almost a perfume like smell to it, so this was a big win for this clay.
