I’m excited this is my first tankless water heater. Was fairly straightforward to install. I had it done since I wasn’t the most experienced with plumbing lines. Got a feeling this propane heater is going to work wonders on my electric bill. Something’s I’ve found so far , system heats really fast but takes the lines about a minute to reach my outlet where I’m using the water shower, kitchen sink etc. once it’s there very hot. Did try reducing flow of water in shower and notice if you slow the gpm to much it does indeed shutdown and water gets cold. I’ve taken fairly long showers for me and water stays constantly hot. So far very happy. This will also keep me from having to use my 220 heater and it’s great for my supplemental/ backup solar which supports only 120v.

En mi juventud, siempre había utilizado calentador de agua sin tanque, bien fuese electrico o de gas LP; aquí en USA había estado usando calentador de agua a gas pero con tanque; en mi casa el tanque comenzó a tener una fuga de agua, demoré en reemplazarlo por el costo del cambio y otros problema, fuera de eso se incremento en más del 40% la facturación de gas y del agua; esto me permitío analizar opciones y analice que con calentador sin tanque podría ahorrar gas y agua; la razón es lógica, a pesar que consume mas gas esto es por muy poco tiempo, e igual forma el agua ya que no se necesita mezclar agua caliente y fria para tener la temperatura adecuada; La marca Orbek ha salido excente

This is absolutely unacceptable. Box came damaged, but we believed the water heater was fine due to good packing. We were going to install it today, but after fully removing the water heater from packing, we noticed that the water heater itself is also damaged. The water heater is dented where the cold water and gas lines go, which if installing would have definitely caused a gas leak. We also believe the item is used, as when we removed the caps, there was water residue in both the hot water and cold water lines. No options available for a replacement, and this is an item we needed immediately. Refunds take weeks, and we need water in our home. This was not a cheap purchase, and it's absolutely ridiculous that there isn't an option to get a replacement, as now my husband and I will have to wait weeks to get our money back just to purchase a new one.

I replaced a very expensive $1600 Takagi tankless with this one when the Takagi's heat exchanger inexplicably died after only 4 years of normal use, and that was after its igniter died the year before. This non-condenser unit may be a bit less efficient, but what good is efficiency when it costs so much more and creates more failure points? In the mild PNW it's been serving us very well. Our rain head shower is not flow limited and it will get uncomfortably hot when wide open, even in the dead of winter. The 190,000 BTU Takagi was way oversized for us considering this 80,000 BTU heater can keep up with us with no problems. The only real negative is the cost of double walled exhaust pipe for non-condenser water heaters, not specific to this unit though.

Well I surprised by the size and the amount of hot water I get. It is very easy to install. And for the price it fit my budget and gave me the hot water that is needed. I have had it for 6 months now and it works great. The quality looks good and it's very easy to change the temperature at anytime with a click of a button. Haven't had any problem yet. Very durable and looks great.
