We have a large house here on our farm and its raised a bunch of kids plus kids kids if you get my drift. We built a "outhouse, tiny home" as kids are like boomerangs the leave, get married have a few kids and show back up with it all in tow... We already have tankless in the large home so I saw this as being a good fit for the tiny home. I figured this one would be enough to run a shower plus a dishwasher and washer if called upon and so far it has. This unit had specs that should work and the product images clearly showed it could be installed indoors with an external vent so we put it behind the washer/dryer in the laundry room since space was tight. It was about a 2 hour job to install but we had to run a gas pipe and that took extra time. After install we had no leaks and it worked right off the bat. It does use a concentric vent (One pipe both vents and pulls in fresh air) The temperature stability is excellent, it maintains a much more consistent temperature throughout the entire shower than a tank model can and that's what you want a water heater to do. I can now set the water to a temperature that feels perfectly comfortable for the duration of the shower and that's the functionality you seek. It's incredibly easy to use and adjust, but once you get it dialed in it probably won't need any attention. I fully expect a long lifespan of 10 years or more. If it does then we have a winner since that's all I've ever got out of the big tank style units but only time will tell. Its a great value if you have the need for the volume this one puts out. Now, for a few tips...make sure you have a good quality water and not "hard" water. We have a treatment system (we have well water) plus a 3M neutralizer that stops the calcium from leeching which increases the life of the heat exchanger. If you don't you will be cleaning the coils regularly or replacing the heater after a few years if you live in an area with a lot of minerals in the water (good for you but bad for a water heater!). If you have those low flow shower heads or balancing type (single handle) shower valve you may have issues with it dropping out. If you do you can adjust those type valves by pulling off the handle and doing a adjustment to increase the hot that blends. If the shower head is low flow I recommend going with a medium flow you will be much happier! Also make sure the water supply feed to the heater is at least 3/4 ID or better as it doesn't like variations of inlet flow. It will also need a 3/4 gas line or better as it can get hungry!! For anyone tired of water heaters the size of small cars and showers that go cold halfway through shampooing, this little machine is a game changer. The 18L capacity handles multiple tasks with surprising ease, and it’s pretty amazing how much tech they squeezed into something smaller than a mini fridge. The Fahrenheit display is crystal clear and makes you feel slightly more in control of your life. On the gas side of things, I did hire a professional as I can get paranoid when it comes to deadly gases that can either kill you in your sleep or blow you up. However I have been wanting this type of water heater and if you could see where our old water heater is still located you would understand. With a pro I got things working smoothly! :D The heating itself is snappy... like, blink-and-it’s-hot snappy. It handles sinks, showers, and washing machines without blinking... unless your home’s water pressure dips, in which case it throws a mild digital tantrum. Still, it runs quietly, doesn’t hog your wall space, and looks way cooler than the big clunky tanks of the past. Setup is where things got spicy. The instructions may have been translated by someone who’s never seen a water heater or English grammar. You’ll probably need a licensed plumber or a very bold friend. But once it’s in and humming along, you’ll feel like the royalty of indoor plumbing. It’s not perfect, but it’s pretty great. This tankless water heater provides plenty of hot water for my whole household. The digital display is clear with Fahrenheit readout, and it heats up instantly without any cold-water lag. Installation was manageable if you have basic plumbing and venting experience — took a couple of hours with the right fittings. The build feels solid with good safety features like multi-protection. For the flow rate and reliability at this price, it’s a fantastic value.

Note that this tankless water heater uses only natural gas and not propane. I was a bit misled by the propane claim in the title, but I noticed that the listing does state that it is powered by natural gas. It is a nice-looking tank, sleek black design, so it will not be horrid if it is not able to be tucked into a cabinet. It is lightweight and thin and comes with all the necessary hoses to connect it. There is a section to vent and the elbow. This water heater has a good output capacity (4.74 gallons per minute), which is more than needed for an average shower (2.5 gallons per minute). Obviously, that is the average, and your usage may differ, but it should be adequate for most use case scenarios. Easy to use. Water heats up quickly and gets pretty hot. Thermometer reading seems pretty spot on - have not tested it with an actual thermometer, but can say that it is not off by much if it is at all. Quite a few safety features add to the overall functionality, such as gas and water controls.

The installation was straightforward; clear instructions for connecting the water and gas lines were provided, making the process easy to follow.
