Born, baby, burn…
Size: 70 pcs
I have purchased these time and time again. They work great! Anytime I need a little assistance in the fire pit these are my go to! Affordable and well made. They burn long enough to catch the rest of the material. Very pleased!

So good I have been buying them for years.
Size: 70 pcs
There are great and effective. I have been buying them for years now. I recently used some at a different house that are not the same brand and it was a horrible experience. These are clean, burn easily and long enough to get the logs started. Will continue buying them.

Best Firestarters out there! I
Size: 70 pcs
I am now on my 6th box of them (I think there about 80 in each box) and have been nothing short of amazed by them. We use them for everything, such as on our two Kamado Joe grills, our Weber Kettle grill, either of the two wood burning fireplaces, motorhome camping trips for firepits and portable grills, or our firepit outside. These little gems can be lit in pretty much any weather and will stay lit. On top of that, they do not burn up quickly, which gives them time to actually ignite their surrounding materials properly (charcoal or wood). I have used many other brands and types and they seem to have any one of a multitude of issues (too many chemicals, burns too quickly, won’t stay lit, takes too long to ignite, or too little given for the price being asked), but since switching to GreenSpark I have pretty much come to the conclusion that I can stop looking for a better starter. We keep ordering them off of Amazon. My brother-in-law now uses them at his home and keeps them in his motorhome too. Thanks for such an easy and clean solution.

Exactly as Advertised
Size: Square 160 Pcs
I don't understand all the negative reviews. This product is exactly as advertised. First of all, I received a box of, what look like (I didn't count them), about 160 little rectangular bricks, and I didn't need to break anything. They're, if it were candy, bite-sized. One--let me repeat that--one (!) is enough to light a fire with one--let me repeat that--one (!) match. If you need more bricks or more matches, I suggest you work on your fire-making skills and stop blaming this product. I've always been able to light a fire with one match and some paper and kindling. The only reason I got these is because I recently got a fireplace insert with a catlytic combuster, and, apparently, it is better not to use any paper with ink on it or treated paper with those. It lights immediately, it holds a flame a few minutes (I didn't time it) and long enough to light kindling, and thereby get the fire going. A possible (likely?) explanation for the negative reviews is that, and I see this with my neighbors, people continue to believe you do not need to season firewood or think it's a good idea to use colored newspaper or cardboard as kindling. It does its job. If it doesn't for you, look up some youtube videos on how to light a fire.

Good product, but bundle size is inconsistent
Size: 70 pcs
The only other brand of this type of fire starter I've used was the Royal Oak Tumbleweeds. Side by side, the Royal Oaks are much better quality, but also more expensive. The GreenSpark starters are very inconsistent sizes. Some are very thin in diameter (as small as 0.5 inch) others are very thick (as much as 1.5 inch). GreenSpark starters also have lots of loose fibers that easily fall off, whereas the Royal Oaks are bundled better and don't fall apart so easily. For the price however, these are just fine. It's not always a disadvantage that they're sized inconsistently, because sometimes you need more or less starter than other times, depending on what you're lighting and the wind conditions. I'm just about finished with my first box of 70. I have a few thin bundles left and a big pile of loose fibers at the bottom of the box. Aside from the consistency and bundling issues, I haven't had any trouble with reliability and they don't impart any off flavors into the food. They work well and I would purchase again. If money was no object, I'd use the Royal Oaks, but since I don't want to spend much on starters, these will do just fine. It would nice to see the manufacturer make a few improvements.

Superb Fire Starters
Size: 70 pcs
GreenSpark firestarters is an awesome product. Very simple to light with a match, the starters are long-burning. They provide maximum impact and never fail to ignite a hearty fire. We use them in our fireplace, fire pit and to start hardwood charcoal in our outdoor grill. They get the job done every time. And the 70 count size is excellent value for the price, as we only need to use 3 in the fireplace, 2 in the fire pit and 1 in the outdoor grill. Highly recommended!

Work As Promised - Love 'Em
Size: 70 pcs
These starters work just as promised. We have a wood burning stove and have typically used chunks of those waxy, stinky starter logs to get a fire going. I got sick of how difficult those were to light and how easily they would get snuffed out before anything else caught fire. The GreenSpark starters have no offensive odor, don't make a mess, are easy to light, and burn long enough to get hardwood lit. We don't have to use as much kindling now that we use these starters. Would highly recommend.
