I use this product for my 2 sons with severe ADHD. Sleep is a nightmare with them! I found that I did not need to give them a full dosage to obtain the results I was looking for and it's for this reason I will continue to order it. I have not been able to find this dosage in any of my local stores in liquid form nor have I found anything that can beat its price! My youngest son has an issue with taking medicines due to his special needs and I was able to mix this into his juice box without him even noticing! Within half an hour of him taking it, he is ready for bed and sleeps like a dream all night. His mood in the morning is refreshing! I can definitely see the difference in him from using this. My older son tried it without juice and did not care for the taste. Could just be because he's picky. I give him the same dosage as my younger son and while it doesn't help him sleep as well as his brother, he is easier to put to bed and falls asleep better. Honestly this is terrible! I’ve been taking melatonin for years and never experienced a taste so bad! It’s like rubbing alcohol. And you need to take four full droppers to make one complete dose. Do yourself a favor and pass on this one.

I used to buy this under the original formulation. They changed it and the new ingredients not only taste bad but the stevia gives me a migraine headache. I'm disappointed to write this, but I honestly wouldn't recommend this brand of liquid melatonin. Generally, I prefer liquid melatonin; It works better for me than gummies or capsules, and it means I can dose out exactly as much as I need. Due to this, I was super excited to see that amazon stocked this product. However, I really can't get behind this brand. While the melatonin I was using before tasted pleasantly of mixed berry juice, this one tastes like cherry cough syrup. It's miserable to take it, and it makes me gag. Additionally, it takes 4 ml droppers full to get 1mg of melatonin! This means that a bottle only lasts 15 nights if you take the recommended dosage. I'm going to use all of this product so that it doesn't go to waste, but I won't be buying it again, as I don't want to have to choke down my melatonin every night before bed. I'm giving it two stars because the melatonin itself in this product seems to work alright if you can get past the awful taste and unfortunate dosing, and I already feel pleasantly sleepy shortly after taking it. ... show more

I used to by the larger 8 ounce bottle before they discontinued it. It had a dropper I could clearly read that was simple to dose. When we got this little 1 ounce version, the dropper lines of measure are impossible to read and we ended up underdosing our adolescent children for weeks not understanding why they weren't able to sleep through the night. We lost sleep too over it, not just the children. It was infuriating to learn they needed 4 droppers just to get the same amount of melatonin they used to get in a clear measure with one half of one dropper from the old bottle. The sleep inducing ingredient for any childrens medication is normally melatonin. Now, given that piece of information, think about this: Have you ever noticed Children's "Night Time" medication is MORE expensive than the regular Day Time? Or just the regular version? You start noticing this when your child is sick repeatedly, and are comparing every medication/holistic remedy. I now know exactly which remedies work best for my child, and I don't NEED a NIGHT TIME version. All I needed was my own small, liquid, doable melatonin! This works so well for my little one. When she is sick, I give her about .5 mg and within 20 mins she is sleeping soundly. It is a clear liquid, and tastes great! I have an 11 year old and a 6 (almost 7) year old. The 11 year old occasionally has trouble falling asleep but the younger one has trouble sleeping most of the time. After reading reviews for many different melatonin products I chose this one. The first time I used it I gave them half of what was recommended. It kind of worked for my oldest but it did NOTHING for my youngest. I kept adding one dropper full every night until it worked. My oldest only needs 3 dropper full and the youngest needs 5. I also tried it myself so I could taste it. My oldest likes it with water, you can kind of taste it this way but it isn’t horrible. My youngest likes it with orange juice, you can’t taste it at all. You can give it to them alone but it doesn’t really taste good like that. They call it “sleeping potion” and they know it works so they’ll ask for it almost every night. Of course they don’t get it every night but they get excited when I choose to give it to them. I know my youngest loves it because she can actually get some rest and falls asleep about 45 minutes after taking it. ... show more
