This tree takes time to fluff but there are 2 great design elements: One, there are small branches on the wire branch supports going all the way back to the trunk, giving a full look through the tree. Two, the branches on the large sections of the tree spread out into three branches each, allowing for max coverage of open spaces. ... show more

Sad the way the listing says clear white lights (nope they look similar to classic incandescent bulbs) and the videos portray trees even some with colors as with (Lightning Fast! Full assembly! John & Melissa - Earns Commission) video... or the actual white light tree video Bought this six years ago..still looks like new!!! Eileen... that are not this tree to give you the illusion the tree being bought is like them. This tree is not going to have any color nor will the lights be white. The bulbs are incandescent clear bulbs, which actually in all honestly they are a ugly dull yellowish color. Mostly BS. ... show more

    • Nice for the price
This is a fairly nice tree, especially for the price. The lights are not carefully wrapped to the tip, and not tight and secure like the more expensive trees and on the top half of the second section actually were just hanging in places and I had to wrap them onto branches to be tight. When I set it up, half of one string would never light and I had to put my own string of lights on to make up the difference. It is darker green than the picture and all the same tone of green and of course not as full as the picture. It was easy to put together, just plenty of fluff time involved. It is not as fat a tree as it looks in the picture either. In my experience almost nothing looks as good as its "sale" picture, so this was not too much of a suprise. All in all it looks beautiful decorated, does not tip easily, and was a good price so I am happy! ... show more

We are so happy with this tree!! Some important things to note if you're thinking of purchasing: 1. Take the time to separate each of the individual stems, one-by-one. It's tedious, but well worth it in the end. 2. The video everyone refers to is on the National Tree website under instructional videos. Here's a link: http://nationaltree.com/instructional-videos.html The same fluffing/shaping instructions are also provided in the instruction manual. 3. Wear gloves or long sleeves when you put it together. By the end of fluffing and separating you will probably have some scratches or irritation if you don't cover your arms. It's nothing too major, just a heads up if you want to avoid it all together. 4. Each group of branches has three smaller clumps on it. Be sure to pull both left and right sides away from the center clump and then start to individually separate the stems in each section. I have found that this method helps to really fill any empty spaces in the tree. 5. In the instruction video and manual it said that the three sections are tied together with a tie or string, but mine came wrapped in a wired faux-pine strip, which was completely camouflaged in the tree. Hopefully telling you this will save you some time, so you know what you're looking for to release the hinges. I really do love this tree, it has the perfect amount of lights, and the little brown detailing on the stems really gives it a "real" look. I'm not sure why there are any negative reviews, because for a faux pre-lit it's a reasonable price and it looks beautiful if it's assembled correctly. ... show more

Update: I’ve had the tree for 5 seasons now. I was very happy the first two. On the third, a strand of lights went out and I could not for the life of me figure out how to replace individual bulbs so the whole strand worked. Note, it was part of a strand- it was so so odd. I ended up giving up and adding a strand of store bought lights. Year 4, i had to add two because more went out. Year 5, I added 4 strands because THIS is all that’s left of the lights. They are terrible and now I have an entire tree with busted lights that I can’t remove. It’s so so annoying. Love the tree, hate the lights. I'm really impressed with this tree. I'm not going to lie, I was really nervous/slightly disappointed when I put the bottom section in the stand. It looked so droopy. Not the case AT ALL. You really have to open all the branches up and it is full and beautiful. A lot of reviewers say to watch the video, but I don't think it's relevant to this tree. The video says to stagger the hinged branches every round. You can't do that - the hinges are fixed and can't be moved. Instead, each and every branch on the bottom and middle sections (the top two rounds of the middle section may be exceptions) have one main branch with three arms at the end (the arms are what droop right out of the box). Separate these three arms horizontally on each branch and pull everything apart filling the round. There are almost no gaps after about 2.5 hours of separating each and every branch (one person). Two small pieces pulled out from the branches and I had to replace 4 lights (one was broken), but they give you PLENTY of replacement bulbs and fuses. The only thing I thank can be improved on the tree is the number of and/or placement of the lights. A few areas are not as well lit as others since the lights are haphazardly placed. Maybe I'll add another strand next year. Great tree for a great price! ... show more
