I got the 7 foot tree. It is not pre-lit. I have a very small house and it fit perfectly. It was great to have such a nice looking tree. It holds a lot of ornaments. The price is excellent and I feel the quality is great. It is easy to put together and the stand is sturdy. If you want it to look nice, you have to take your time putting it together. It goes together easily, and there are enough branches for a full look. However, you need to have patience fluffing out the branches. You will have to carefully separate each one and strategically spread them nicely for a full look. This is true for any "fake" tree you purchase. If you find you have bald spots, try spreading the branches a little better. I recommend a bottom-up approach. Put your tree in the middle of the room and start fluffing on the bottom branch and work your way up. I didn't stack the tree first. I worked on the bottom section and added as I worked up. These branches are staggered so they look more natural. When you are ready to put it away it fits into the box. ... show more

I’ve never had an artificial tree, Was never a fan, but needed one this year. Small space meant it would have to be a slim tree. After reading reviews, I decided to take a chance on this tree. I am so impressed with the quality and the fullness of the tree, not to mention ease of assembly!! Reviewers who complained it didn’t look like the photo simply did not truly fluff the branches. I watched the brief instructional video on the website and went to town. Yes, it takes a bit of time, but it was easy effort and I enjoyed doing it. I found that after spreading the branches, it helped to alternately tweak them a bit up and down as well. This did a great job of filling any “see through” spots. The top vertical branch will not support a heavy topper, but we solved this by “standing” out topper on the uppermost branches. Not a huge problem at all. I did not buy prelit, as I already have many strings of lights. They were easily strung on the branches. I wish I’d though to take a photo at the start, but you can see part of the middle section before fluffing. And then the finished product. This tree was an excellent value, and perfect for a smaller space. We highly recommend. ... show more

I have been looking for a slim (but tall) realistic looking artificial tree to dress up the new office/library space in my home. I've looked at Target, Lowe's, Home Depot, Big Lots, TreeClassics, and HomeDecorators (these last two are online only stores). While I found some trees that would work, none were as slim as I wanted (I was looking for a tree with a base width of approximately 30" rather than 36") and most that were at the height I wanted (7.5') were priced between $150-$300, which was simply more than I wanted to spend. The less expensive trees that I saw just looked cheap and fake. Because I have plenty of strands of lights already, a pre-lit tree was not a requirement. I finally found this one on Amazon, and based on the reviews and pictures, decided to order it. I'm very pleased that I made this decision! This tree arrives in a box measuring 39"L x 11"W x12"D. The box is made of a thick, heavy cardboard that can be used for storage after the holidays, which will fit easily into a closet or basement storage space. My 10-year-old son and I unpacked the tree and had it assembled in place in about five minutes; set up was simple. The tree consists of three sections and has a small stand. The bottom two sections have hinged branches that basically fall open into place once the tree is upright. The top section has grouped branches for the bottom third and single branches above these that are attached directly to the center pole and can be bent down into the position you desire. There is an eye screw in the stand to stabilize the tree once it is assembled. The branches are well constructed, with realistic needles. There was very little needle shedding during set up. Right out of the box and placed upright, the tree looks nothing like what is pictured in the listing. There are huge gaps between the branches, and it looks very strange; each branch must be "fluffed" by opening up the individual pieces on each branch from their compressed state. My son and I only spent about 20 minutes "fluffing" the branches after standing it up. My photos show what the tree looked like after we were done with this initial set up. We have a 7.5' artificial green Alpine fir that we use in our family room (purchased about 14 years ago from TreeClassics) and have found that the best method for making these trees look full is to start with the innermost section of each branch (the part closest to the center post) and push open into a modified star or flower shape, so that the inner pieces are spread wider than the outer section pieces (see close-up photo). I will continue to "fluff" the branches a bit more, until I'm fully satisfied with the way it looks, but I expect that I won't need to spend any more than an extra 10-15 minutes on it. You can see from my pictures that the naked tree doesn't look quite as full as the picture shown in the Amazon listing, but once I finish "fluffing" it and add the lights and ornaments, I'm sure that it will look great; I will update my review with additional pictures once the tree is fully decorated. At the time of my purchase (in mid-November 2016), I paid the FULL price of $76. I did not receive any discount, nor was I given any incentive for leaving this review. ... show more
