I did not hesitate to purchase this item because I spent a month reading the reviews, looking over customer images ; it was reliable and I was convinced to purchase it. However, I spent the first few weeks looking at a frosty tree because I was going for a rose gold look. At the last minute, I changed my mind because I realized that after a year or so, I would lose interest and the flexibility of changing around the look would be limited with a frosty tree. I plan on using the same tree for a couple more years. so I decided to buy a green tree. Most importantly, the price was equivalent to the frosty tree I originally wanted, except this one was a feet taller, making it 10 feet. It was a winner. I purchased it without thinking any longer, and it arrived within three days. I definitely needed two or three more hands to set up the tree because it was heavy, each piece. Seeing it partially complete, in my high ceiling living room has set the mood, bringing good vibes and excitement. My family was also very satisfied with the purchase, not only is it super tall, it is also wide in volume. My first impression was that it looked like a tree for a hotel lobby. Its pretty damn big. For the past 18 years I have been putting together our artificial tree branch by branch. The first few years it was fine and pretty standard to have a tree like that, but as time went on I became left in the dust by the early adopters of tree technology. Years went by and I refused to upgrade my tree, because it was "special." After about a decade it really got embarrassing that my tree still needed to be built branch by branch, but I was turned off by the high prices of these new tech trees that simply need the sections stacked and the branches arranged. Finally we moved to a new house and I decided that the old tree wasn't going to make the trip. So this new tech tree was assembled yesterday...a little early, I know...but it was pre-pre-Black Friday Monday, a true holiday for all high tech tree lovers. Let me tell you, I had it out of the box and assembled in less than 2 minutes. It will look great once all the branches are arranged. However, someone has told me that they also make these trees in the pre-lit variety. Guess I'll be upgrading again in about two decades!!! ... show more

The needles of the tree fall off every-time the tree is touched and the tree doesn't look ANYTHING like the photos. I've attached a side-by-side image. Very disappointing and the return process is a pain, I'm still waiting for approval/directions to return mine.

Overall, I am pleased with this artificial tree from National Tree. The shape is a great appearance. It was EASY to set up--and I'm in not great health, so that's a big deal! The tree came in three sections and an easy stand that unfolds. One simply removes the sections from the box; set up the tree stand; place bottom portion (the section that has the longest branches) into the stand & secure it tightly with the provided (screwy) bolt thing; place the next section's pole into the previous section's, and then the top. I did have to use a stool, because I'm 5' 3" (a little shorter, but who is counting), to put the top into place. That process was, for me, the easiest. After ensuring the tree is tightly together and tightened in the stand, flip the hinged branches down, and start the process of "fluffing" it-- that is, the branches are all neatly squished together for (shipping) and storage, so you'll need to take the time to arrange the tips to make the tree appear more "real." I'm picky about this part, so the "fluffing" and placing the strand of lights was the most time consuming portion for me. I appreciated that each section of the tree was fairly light, which is good for most people who have weight-lifting restrictions or health problems. I was able to get the tree set up by myself, even with my health problems. The tree's shape and once "fluffed," is pretty accurate to the advert picture. There are a few things I don't like, which is why there's a full star deduction. The moveable tips don't feel as secure as a previous artificial tree we used for 10 SEASONS; like, they may not last as long. This is of a concern for me, given this tree was about the same price as the previous tree. Also, the tips are pretty "light weight," which means no heavy ornaments. Since we don't have a lot of ornaments due to loss & moving recently, it's not a *huge* deal for us, but it may be a problem in the future, and will likely be an issue for others. And, finally, there are "gaps"-- as in, it does not look as "full" as what is pictured in the advert. While that could be an advantage for allowing more ornaments to be placed, the tips not having a lot of strength pretty much negates that advantage. So, this is a pretty nice and simple tree, which is all I wanted/needed this year. I am pleased with how lightweight the tree is (compared to a previous artificial tree that I could barely carry by myself!), how easy it was to set up, and it's shape. For the price, it's not bad. In the future, I would probably get a tree that provides more than 1346 tips on the branches. Time will tell on the longevity of this non-pre-lit tree. ... show more
