I am so excited to start this with my kids and I am using it to makes gifts for our loved ones this year for Christmas. Comes with a couple of necklaces just for making the jewelry and the kids can take pride in knowing they not only made the jewelry for people but dug it out too!

I’m 10 days into this (1 a day, but started in Oct.) and it is far better than other gem kits I’ve tried. The stones are beautiful, even though the geode was tiny! The gem samples are good quality, although I’m not impressed by the ring. The necklaces will work well with these stones.

My 6-year old loves this advent calendar. We are big fans of the National Geographic products for their quality and educational purposes. The set has a fun variety of projects but they do repeat, which could be good (for sharing) or bad if your child wants something different every day. My daughter loved having more options and made items for siblings and friends. This was worth the money, a fun activity for advent season!
