Purchased for my son for Christmas. He absolutely loved looking at the variety of stones and cracking his own geode. He spent hours looking at the beautiful colors, textures, and size of all the stones. This was a great gift and good value for the price.

I’m 10 days into this (1 a day, but started in Oct.) and it is far better than other gem kits I’ve tried. The stones are beautiful, even though the geode was tiny! The gem samples are good quality, although I’m not impressed by the ring. The necklaces will work well with these stones.

Great kit for my 4 year old that loves gems and rocks - all the reviews stating that it doesn’t come with the jewelry or paper explaining the rocks are wrong - there is a box in the calendar that says open this window right away and that is where all the items are for the kit ! we opened day 1 and were able to put the rock in the necklace holder! still trying to figure out the ring setting but great kit ... show more

My 6 year old is loving this. Gets excited each night to open. However, the packaging isn't the best because while each day is a punch out, the top cover isn't individually attached to so while the rocks stay separated, the top covering the remaining surprises gets ruined easily when opening the current rock, sometimes ruining the surprise and making them hard to keep track of. I will say some of the "extras" were nice -- cards, bags, info paper,etc. ... show more
