This had a number of features I was looking for in storage for my modem and router. The instructions and design seem to be created with care and I really like the French cleat mounting. The bottom shelf is a tight fit, height-wise, for a power strip/surge protector, and it is a bit of a hassle to make the cords go just right without looking super messy, but those things can be sorted with time and care. The only real problem I had with this unit is that the drawer sits a bit wonky, as can be seen in the picture. I thought about taking advantage of the unit's warranty policy, but in the end I decided it wasn't that big of a problem to me. I don't know if this is a one-off or a common problem with this unit. I looked a long time to find a floating nightstand in my small bedroom. I love the size of this one. The drawer is big enough for storing eye drops, reading glasses, flashlight, etc. I use the shelf to store my eye pad and tv remote. Well made product.

If you can assemble IKEA furniture, you can assemble these nightstands easily. Here are the things I appreciate about them: 1) the instructions are straightforward and commonsense. 2) the paper drilling template is very useful. 3) the nightstand parts are perfectly drilled (everything lines up as it should). 4) all parts are well-labeled. 5) the notch for passing through cables is really sleek and helpful. One tip I would share is that it's a good idea to use a bubble level to check any lines you draw on the wall and whole you're drilling and screwing the French cleats into the wall. This will ensure that your nightstands remain as level as possible, since the French cleats can change position very mildly as you turn the screws. Finally, if the company is reading this review, I humbly suggest enlarging the diagrams in the assembly instructions a smidge so they are a little easier to see. I think there's also a step that should be added, as noted by another reviewer, but that step is pretty commonsense as well. Another suggestion I would make is to modify the paper drilling template so that it more closely matches the nightstand. For example, the top of the paper template is still 1.25 inches short of the top of the nightstand. This is easy for most people to figure out themselves and adjust to, though. Fantastic product. I love this! I got this for my room as I have an IKEA bed with drawers that pull out on either side so I couldn’t get a regular nightstand. These are on the smaller size, which is what I was looking for, and have a cute little shelf at the bottom where I can put whatever book I’m currently reading and my iPad. I love that.
