The NARS Sheer Glow Foundation is my go-to foundation in the evening. I sometimes use it during the day, too, but always with a damp makeup sponge to keep it sheer and light. But with a dry sponge or my foundation brush ( Sigma Beauty Flat Kabuki - F80 )-- my all-time makeup secret--it's a dream come true. It's provides intense coverage, a great, even coloring and for Asian skin like mine with olive and yellow undertones, it creates a flawless look that is camera-ready. I use the color "Punjab" but keep in mind that I'm quite dark-skinned for a Korean. But this particular one requires no neck-blending because it's just perfect in coloring. I have 3-4 regular foundations I keep on hand for different purposes -- like one for days when I know I'll be photographed (Chanel!) and others for outdoor activities or events where I know I'll get hot, and another where I want to look as natural as possible, or when I feel like my skin looks pretty outstanding on its own, a BB cream. And then the NARS. Of those four, the NARS is probably my most versatile in that what tool I use to apply it can easily make it more or less, depending on my needs. I highly recommend it. You' ll just need to experiment a little with color. Personally, if I guess and I'm off by a little, I just mix with a foundation of the right color to blend it to the ideal color, so no big deal. I have plenty that are a little too dark, or a little too light, and that's what I keep those for! I just wish the cover was usable with the pump that I bought with it! Alas, it's not, so the pump stays exposed--which isn't such a big deal but ideally, I could put a cover over that pump. Oh, and a little secret for those of you with oily skin like me: a few spritzes of this item below along with NARS Sheer Glow and a fresh application of Ben Nye Banana Powder--and you can leave your compact powder at home for a full day without an ounce of shine. Truly the best foundation I have ever used on my 58-year-old skin. I would say medium coverage but buildable, not cakey, not dry, not oily- and it gives you a lovely glow that’s not shiny. Yay! The media could not be loaded. I’m obsessed with this foundation 😍 it gives a super natural glow and blends perfectly into the skin. It doesn’t feel heavy and lasts all day. Definitely one of my favorites, I will keep buying it

Update: After using it for a few days, I want to upgrade this to 4 stars instead of 3. It is moisturizing and doesn't gather around fine lines! It has a super easy to spread gel/cream smooth consistency that's very nice. Just keep in mind it applies light and oxidizes to 3/4 shade darker and w/ me it settles into my ski shade nicely. One Youtuber who tried on 300+ foundations had Nars as its very top/best foundation so I thought I should give it a try. I'm a Estee L 2N1 but I got a 3N. I expected it to be a bit dewy for some reason but 1st of all, it applied on super light shade. I was shocked but carried through the application with finger tips, then a foundation brush. It applied fine, dried really fast. I looked a bit pale. I swatched it on my arm and compared it with Estee L, so much lighter. Then right before my eyes, the swatched began to look okay on the skin's shade...then it looked exactly like my skin color....obviously it oxidized about a shade. On the face, it looked like it matched the color fine, a bit matte w/ light coverage. It's comfortable, not drying the skin, w/ just a tad of feeling you have foundation on. Don't get the "light reflecting" claim. I do have dryish/normal skin so I really don't think it will turn dewy on me. I will use it daily. It's kind of good but not wowing. I am extremely disappointed with its condition. The product appeared to have been previously used, the liquid was leaking badly, and it spilled as soon as I opened it, making a mess on my tiles and sink, which was very difficult to clean. Moreover, the bottle was less than half full, which is unacceptable. Considering the unusable product and the damage caused, I kindly request a replacement or a full refund, and I also believe compensation for the cleanup and inconvenience is appropriate. ... show more
