It was rolled mattress in the box. It was heavy and big box so you would need 2 people to bring in. Unrolled mattress was easy. It took time for 2 days fully puffed up. Purchased as a replacement for the spare bed in our camper. After letting it raise for 36-48 hrs it was about 5.5-5.75 inches thick as other reviews state. It is a major upgrade from the original mattress as it was the random xxl long camper queen that was maybe 4” thick when manufactured. The new mattress is standard queen size with denser foam so our guests no longer feel the plywood the mattress is setting on. Do not buy this mattress. I purchased 3 mattress and I washed all the covers I found out they all had fiber glass material and it got all over my kids clothes, walls, and all belongings in their room....plz plz plz I do not recommend to purchase this item.

The mattress does do it’s job since its foam but its not as sturdy sinks in too much. Other than that it works for my daughter 8 yrs of age 50lbs. But I don’t think it’s great for someone over 140lbs.
