The description says it is an 8" mattress, and it takes 72 hours, but that was not my experience. It fully expanded to 7" within a day. The mattress is dense and comfortable. Decent mattress at first but after 2.5 years we're already considering replacing it. It's a bit too soft and tends to sink in quite a bit after laying in it throughout the night. There tends to be a decent hump in the middle.

Supposed to be an 8inch thick mattress. Its now 4 days, and its still barely over 7 inches. It does not expand to the full 8. I'd recommend buying 2 inches larger than what you need based on these limitations.
