  • Very Useful!
Color: Yellow
The NANPU Air Sand Blaster Gun with Gravity Feed is a versatile tool designed for tasks like paint removal, rust removal, and glass etching. It uses a gravity feed system, making it suitable for a wide range of blasting media such as sand, aluminum oxide, walnut shells, and soda. Here’s a detailed review based on its features and performance: Pros: Versatile Blasting Media: This sandblaster can work with multiple types of media, including sand, aluminum oxide, walnut shells, and soda, making it a great all-around tool for various applications like paint stripping, rust removal, and even glass etching. The flexibility allows it to be used in a variety of projects, from automotive restoration to DIY craft projects. Gravity Feed Design: The gravity feed system helps deliver a steady and consistent flow of blasting material, improving efficiency and reducing clogging. This design is often easier to work with compared to siphon-feed models, as it minimizes air consumption and makes the blasting process smoother. Metal Nozzle: The inclusion of a metal nozzle ensures durability and resistance to wear, which is important when dealing with abrasive media. This feature contributes to the tool’s longevity, especially under heavy-duty use. Lightweight Plastic Body: The plastic body helps reduce the overall weight of the tool, making it easier to handle during prolonged use. Despite the plastic construction, the body is still sturdy enough to withstand typical blasting tasks. Effective for Various Applications: Whether you're stripping paint from old furniture, cleaning rust off metal parts, or doing fine detailing work on glass or other surfaces, the NANPU Air Sand Blaster provides reliable results. It’s a good tool for both beginners and more experienced users. Affordable: Given its versatility and functionality, the price point of this sandblaster is quite competitive. It offers a lot of value for the cost, especially for DIY enthusiasts or hobbyists who need a tool for occasional use. Cons: Air Consumption: Like most air sandblasters, this tool requires a significant amount of compressed air. If your air compressor doesn’t have the necessary capacity or if you are working on larger projects, you may find that it consumes more air than expected, potentially slowing down your work process. Size of Media Container: While the gravity feed system is convenient, the media container's capacity may not be large enough for extended periods of use. You might need to refill it more frequently, especially for larger jobs. Some users might prefer a larger capacity hopper for uninterrupted blasting. Plastic Body Durability: While the plastic body helps with weight, it may not be as durable as all-metal construction, especially in high-impact or heavy-duty environments. It can be more prone to cracks or damage if dropped or mishandled, though this is usually not a major issue for general DIY use. Limited Control Over Blasting Power: While it does the job for most applications, the level of precision and control over the blasting power might be limited compared to more advanced or industrial-grade sandblasters. It might not be suitable for very fine detail work or professional-level projects that require exact control. Overall Verdict: The NANPU Air Sand Blaster Gun with Gravity Feed is a solid, versatile choice for homeowners, DIYers, and hobbyists who need an effective tool for paint removal, rust cleaning, or glass etching. Its ability to work with various media, durable metal nozzle, and affordable price point make it an excellent option for light to medium-duty tasks. However, its air consumption and the potential need for frequent refills in the media container might be drawbacks for larger or longer projects. If you're looking for a cost-effective, easy-to-use sandblaster for everyday tasks, the NANPU is a good option. Just be mindful of its limitations in terms of air consumption and capacity for heavier-duty jobs. ... show more

  • Does what I need it to do
Color: Pink
I only sandblast smaller parts now and then. The Nanpu sandblaster has served me well on the handful of occasions I've fired it up. It does a good job removing light rust and corrosion, crud and loose paint.

  • Make sure you have the proper setup
Color: Black
I have always wanted to experiment with a sandblaster for cleaning tools and etching glass. I need to get a proper compressor and booth though. My air compressor kept running out of pressure and the sandblaster media will get all over the place if you do not have a booth. For the brief moment I used it, I was able to blast a rusted wrench clean! I am excited to play with it more when I upgrade my setup! So far, so good! Great for the DIY'er or hobbyist! ... show more

  • Works Great
Color: Blue
This is a great little device for sand blasting small objects or touch up. It is super easy to use. It works well. Simply pore in your blast media. Hook to an air compressor. Point and pull the trigger. I would recommend at a minimum wearing eye protection and would avoid breathing the dust.

  • Inexpensive and works well
Color: Yellow
I don't generally use sand blasting equipment very often, but I do have a portable blasting kit which consists of a hopper which holds 50 pounds of the media, with an attached gun that connects to an air compressor and sucks up the media through a long plastic hose. The problem with that system is that I live in Southern Florida, which is extremely humid most of the time, which tends to permeate the media so that rather than blasting the workpiece with media it mostly just blows air at it (with the media getting clogged in the hose because it's so damp). It's not something that I think about all the time, since as I said it's rare that I need to sand blast, but when I saw this Nanpu Sand Blaster Gun with Gravity Feed on Amazon I ordered it to see how well it would do in our humid weather down here. It seemed that because it's a gravity feed unit, and the media sits in a mostly closed up hopper on top of the gun (except for a small air hole in the lid) that the moisture wouldn't be an issue. I tried it out the other day (February 10) to sand some engraved scrollwork on an exterior wood bench that I couldn't sandpaper effectively before waxing the piece. February doesn't exactly sound like deep summer, but this year it's been very warm, and yes: humid round about now. I had NO issues with the media feeding properly. The only issue I had was that I only had a little media to load into the hopper, and I went through it VERY quickly. But it was long enough, and I was able to treat the areas I needed to smooth out. The gun worked very well, although it's not for cleaning large areas (unless the user doesn't mind re-loading frequently). But I'm OK with that. My next job (after I get more media) will be to sand blast four aluminum patio chairs where the powder coating is peeling off of the arms so that I can paint them. By then it will probably be even more humid, so I'll really see how this gun works under those conditions. For now, though, I'm very happy with its performance. The gun comes packaged with a stainless steel mesh sifting filter, a 1/4" male quick connect fitting that screws into the gun's air port, a roll of Teflon tape, a spare nozzle, and a pair of protective goggles, and a pair of cloth work gloves with rubber nubs on the palm sides of the gloves for better gripping, and an instruction manual. The gun has just two controls: an on-off valve for the media and a trigger to turn the air flow on and off. ... show more
