  • A nice folding bike, pretty good power, so far so good
Color: BLACK Style: 20“ 250w Ebike
I'm going to call this review "so far so good." (I've ridden it nearly 100 miles so far...) When I bought the bike, I was a little skeptical at what I'd be getting. Looking around at ebikes, all I kept seeing where bikes in the thousand or even multiple thousand dollar price ranges. I wanted an ebike but couldn't invest $2,000 or even $3,000 for one. When I found this one on Amazon, I thought I would give it a go, not expecting much. So far, its performed above my expectations. The good things about it: -the price -it folds up and has a very sturdy folding mechanism, both on the handle bars and in the middle -the battery is integrated into the frame which I like better than those models where the heavy battery is in a bag on the handlebars -the wiring is wrapped nicely and is well protected -battery is pretty good in this price range; I can get 15-20 miles on it depending on the hills I'm riding and on how much I'm pedaling -speed is decent; I can go 20mph on good flat ground Not so nice: -not much by way of visual display (only 3 lights for battery power, high, medium and low) -would be nice having a more advanced pedal assist. With this bike, pedal assist is either off or on full throttle. -heavy. You have to be careful not to throw your back out taking this bike into and out of your trunk. Its heavy--probably around 60 pounds with the battery. Anyway, I haven't had many problems. Once I was riding it and the power completely gave out and I couldn't get the throttle to work. But, I took that battery out (basically rebooting the controller) and its been working ever since. I'm guessing with any bike you'll hit a glitch every now and then. The company will send out replacement parts for one year after you buy it. I'm just not sure who would put the replacement parts on (if they don't have GOOD instructions on how an end user can replace those parts, that is). As far as how well it works, its definitely helpful having a bike with a motor. I can use just the throttle if I'm on flat road and I don't want to pedal at all. I'm about 184 pounds and it goes well. I can make it up decent hills not pedaling. It won't make it up big hills on its own, but if I pedal I can fly up. That's one of the fun things about this bike--I can pass other bicyclists who are in great shape and aren't used to being passed. Its pretty funny. So, I do recommend this bike. It would be nice if it had some gears--that definitely puts a limit on your speed both uphill and downhill. But, I figured the fact that its single gear is one of the trade offs to get that good price and better battery. Plus, I've had plenty of bikes with gears and on everyone of them, that's the first thing that gets out of adjustment. On most, the gear mechanism would get screwed up and I'd only end up with a few gears working anyway. EDIT (12-5-2018): I just wanted to add something. I have over 300 miles on this ebike now and I had a warranty issue. The Nakto customer service was very responsive. I described the issue through email, waited and the reply came overnight. They resolved my issue very quickly. So, if you were wondering whether there is any customer service at all with this company, in my experience, I can say yes. They are very helpful. ... show more

  • Shipped to Hawaii. Charger heat needs attention.
Color: SILVER Style: 20" 500w Fat Tire Ebike
The media could not be loaded. Ordered on Sept 15, 2022 for $1,052.34. Delivered on Sept 23. Assembly was pretty straightforward if you've had a little experience adjusting your bicycle back in the day. I've had the bike for 2 weeks and here are my initial thoughts. Totally rideable without the pedal assist. Mechanical disc brakes feel good; no squeal so far. Fat tires are cool, comfortable. Bike makes whirring noise when moving fast like downhill. Distance and speed is as advertised so far. A lot of fun to be able to bicycle again. Using infrared thermometer, measured charger heat at over 130 oF. Propped up with a small metal grill accessory from the kitchen. The heat is down to 105 oF. I also noticed the spokes on the front tire are setup traditionally where the spokes hook alternate inside-outside of the hub and do not touch. On the rear tire the spokes all hook from the inside of the hub making the spokes touch each other and bend a little. I will ask Nakto about it and will update my review based on what I find. ... show more

  • Lot’s of fun. Had an issue. Customer Service was quick to fix
Color: BLACK Style: 20“ 250w Ebike
Lots of fun for the Wife and I. I’m about 190Lbs and this went 19 MPH according to my GPS on my phone. Battery life lasted us for a 5-6 mile ride and back so expect around 10 miles. Not that great but ok for just fun. Not really a long commuter but a fun neighborhood commuter and good for exercise. If battery runs out it’s still just a bike and can be peddled. Nakto shows pictures of a Shimano shifter on this bike. That is false. 1 speed only. Has a headlight with a switch. Removable battery pack that can be charged on or off the bike. Peddle assist kicks in after about 2 or 3 revolutions and is full throttle until you stop peddling then kicks off entirely. I personally don’t find it useful. Twist throttle is great and can be twisted gently for less speed. I enjoy peddling and assisting with the throttle and never turn on “peddle assist”. For an adult 5’9”. The bike is quite compact but useable. I like the size as it can fit into my F150 backseat (2 of them) without folding. Not the bed of the truck. The back seat. Fits side by side unfolded (Full 4 door super crew). Most ebikes are at least $1000. The prices have skyrocketed since Covid. At $600 and $50 shipping it’s not bad in comparison. We’ve owned these for about 2 weeks and enjoy them and recommend them. Lot’s of fun. ... show more

  • Good quality folding electric bike!
Color: BLACK Style: 20“ 250w Ebike
The account owner here is who I received the bike from. I am a 22 year old male writing this review (approx. 180 pounds and roughly 6'). I am overall extremely impressed with the product. I wish there was a 4.5 stars options, but I ended up deciding on 4. The bike is excellent for urban, as well as suburban, environments. I have ridden the Nakto in both of these types of settings. In Norfolk, Virginia (where I ride it the most) the conditions are sometimes less than ideal, but the Nakto powers through every time. From my experience the battery will last quite a while unless you plan on riding it until the battery is completely dead each time. I typically on a full charge will ride this bike approx 15 miles (possibly more) broken up into about 4 or 5 rides over the course of a week. On a full charge, and pedaling to assist it, I'd estimate it reaches speeds close to 25 mph (maybe you could hit 30 going downhill). The bike folds ups quite small and fits well into the back seat of my 08' Honda Accord. (only takes up one seat) This is great for transportation and storage. Overall: Great little folding commuter electric bike which reaches speeds of 25mph on a flat grade (estimated). Gets nearly 20 miles per full charge on the lithium battery. I don't ever use its headlight though... I have one on there that I bought from a store to save battery for riding One more thing to add, I do NOT work for this company. This a real review despite the countless fake reviews on this site ... show more
