I got this to support me and it didn't have a middle bar. I ordered the thickest mattress, but got a thin one. Don't know how that happened, but the cot itself is very sturdy and strong. Great for watching TV. lol

The media could not be loaded. This sturdy camping cot it is really not meant for home use. The benefits of using it in your home is it's foldable you can put it up you can pull it out whenever you have a surprise guest. It's not super comfortable and the guests won't be staying but if you love camping, this is perfect for you. I believe it handles over 250 lb and it has a folding bag. I give it four stars because the mattress was paper-thin.
