Including Allen wrench for tightening set screws to make the sturdy rod fit snugly into the flanges. We recently remodeled and added a 38” neo-angle shower to a powder room. We intended on installing a glass surround, but they were very expensive and/or low quality unless custom built. Since we didn’t wanna spend $2500+ we found this rod and decided to give it a try. Install was ok as it took some planning and time to drill through the tile and secure. I did end up using heavier wall anchors than the ones provided, but the brackets are secure and solid. Also verifying height was a priority. Make sure to know curtain and hook length. I also wanted to make sure the rod was directly above the center of the shower rim. In order to do this I had to cut about 2” of one rod. This was easy with a hack saw, and the ceiling support will cover the cut. Overall, installation took about 2 hours, with the majority of the time spent planning and drilling 8 holes through the tile. With a clear 12 gauge liner, this rod set up is well worth the savings and time. It meets the need, is easy to clean , and cost significantly less. Plan first! ... show more

We installed a corner shower recently for my aging mother. We didn't want to add doors as it would make it difficult to help her with a shower, so we started our search for a shower bar that would work with the new corner shower. We found one we thought would be perfect, but shipping from Bulgaria was more than the shower bar cost! After trying a few that wouldn't work (due to flimsiness or wrong angles) we ordered this shower bar and it was exactly what we needed! I put the ceiling hanger in but it probably wasn't necessary. I cut a couple of inches off the ends of the pipes and made this fit over a 34 inch, five sided, standard shower base pan (34 inches are the measurements of the two sides that meet at the right angle). It is solid and, in retrospect, the central hanger could have been left off making it much easier to totally close the hanging curtain from one side or the other. With the support hanger, in the center, it is necessary to close from both sides but a person could grab the curtain in an emergency and I doubt it will come down! . Angles were spot on to go around the jacuzzi tub. It was a bit too short, but I was able to pick up a nickel plated pipe at the hardware store for the perfect fit. Pipe was 1/8" smaller in diameter, so it slid right into the supplied pipes with the shower rod. I got a 36" pipe that gave me significant flexibility in length adjustments. An added bonus was that the caps on the pipe that protect the threads made for a snug fit. All in all, it was a simple assembly. I read a lot of reviews for such rods, and chose this one because it seems to be the sturdiest. My contractor put 2×4s in the wall to brace under the flanges, and installed the vertical support rod off-center, near one of the turns in the rod, not in the center as instructed. This way, there isn't a slit down the middle of the curtain where water can get out. Instead, I hung the curtain evenly, so it hangs nicely, then to enter/exit the shower at one side, I push the curtain aside, stopping at the vertical rod nearer the other end; it works perfectly. I recommend installing Amazon Basics safety grab bars, too. ... show more
