I am on blood thinners and have other issues, so my doctor said I cannot use a razor blade to shave my legs. At first I tried a rechargeable shaver. That worked okay, but it took a lot of effort, the hair was not as short as I would like it, and it grew back faster and thicker. After a couple of years with that, I tried a couple similar products and they were okay. Then I found Nair Oil shower creme. I was pleased on the first use and have been using it for about a year. I do not notice the smell, you can go in the shower and it does not immediately wash off, the hair that grows back is softer but most of all, it is closer than any razor and my legs are smooth for a few days.. I HIGHLY recommend this product. I have it on subscription and posting photos so you can see I REALLY use this product. First one was taken in our bathroom LOL ... show more

pros: absolutely no hair in less than 10 mins, works in less than 5mins, leaves a polished look on your skin, leaves skin feeling moisturized, smells like orange blossom AFTER the removal of the cream, thick consistency makes it easier to control where you want to apply. cons: cream has an extremely heavy chemical scent, not best for sensitive skin. tip/warning: do not ever apply any sort of hair removal cream on or near pubic area unless instructed to do so by a gynecologist. ... show more

...so I'm Hispanic and my hair down "there" grows unbelievably fast. Nair makes it SO fast and easy (not to mention EFFECTIVE). I highly recommend buying this if your tired of the scissors and long, LONG showers. Don't use it anywhere else, especially your legs bc I put some on mine and Idk how but it burned the HELL out of them and it was SO BAD that I couldn't even walk without tears rolling down my face. I bought this bc someone in my support group for a particular health issue recommended it because it doesn’t have the cons that other products have. In fact, I think they improved it from an older formula. I get bad reactions if I shave knee to hip. So I don’t and luckily the hair is pretty fine there. But this cream takes care of it for me and I don’t have to use it often. I don’t use it on the coarse hair on my lower legs or arm pits, the hair is too thick. But finer hair will disappear with this. It’s pretty thick. You need a good dallop to cover the area and I use gloves. Leave it set to take effect, not too long, it will do the job. Also the rating asks for smell. It doesn’t smell bad and it’s not overwhelming, but I have a tiny bathroom with no ventilation, so don’t do it there. ... show more

    • Burned My Skin Even When I Had It On For Way Under the Max Amount of Time

I purchased this with incredible faith in it as I had heard many great reviews from it about friends. I did a small patch test on my inner forearm before actually putting it on my body to make sure nothing would go wrong. The patch test was perfectly normal and worked perfectly. However, I used this product before my shower on my legs. It recommends you leave it on for 2 minutes, but a maximum of 10 minutes. Seeing that I have incredibly thick, coarse, dark hair, I decided to leave it on for 4 minutes. As soon as I put it on my legs my legs began to tingle a little. I thought it was entirely normal and left it on. At the third minute I could feel my skin burning and I knew I had to take it off. I immediately rinsed off the Nair and my skin felt as if it were on fire. After my shower my skin was burning and tingling and I have multiple burns on my legs. Please do not use this product. It is incredibly harmful and packed full of chemicals to burn your skin. ... show more
