The pull bar and the tapping block are heavy duty and very good quality. The tapping block is a nice weight and the handle fits nicely in the hand. The mallet is good quality, but a little on the lighter side...sometime useing the pull bar would be nicer to have a little heavier mallet. Didn't try to use the spacers as I am using the Bessy spacers. Overall - a nice set of tools at a good price Definitely recommend for a DIY'er

Although this kit is awesome and does a fantastic job, the first thing I recommend is throw away the hammer and just use a carpenters hammer, worked outstanding. The reason for not using the included hammer is that the replaceable heads kept coming off no matter how tight I got them. Maybe if I had used some thread lock of some sort. The metal bar has a welded block on it and can take some beating. The entire bar is heavy duty and the tapered end came in handy with the tight space. I doubt this set will break but if it does, I am definitely purchasing this same kit. Those kits that you find at lumber stores does not and cannot compare. I can't say enough good about this product. If you need a laminate install tool set, this is the one. I have installed 4 laminate floors in my house, I wished I had this tool set on the first three as well. OK I'll stop the praise,,,, buy this set, you will be happy you did.

Except for the included hammer, which was just a little lite, and that the heads would keep loosening - this is a great overall installation kit. Used it to install vinyl planking in our living room and enter way earlier this week, and the tapping block was great in saving time, as I didn't have to stop to grab a typical tapping block and hammer. The overall size and weight of the tapping block and the way it was made was really nice. When I did need to use the pull bar, the sturdiness and extra length of it to use a hammer to connect the planks at the wall made installation easy. We will see how well it holds up, as I have 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths, kitchen, laundry room and a small hallway to do next. Based on the limited experience I have had using this kit at this time, I would recommend it.

Tools are well made and perform their intended function perfectly. For those folks with a heavy hand, tap lightly by placing the top or bottom end against the board and using a rotating or hinging motion rotate the tapping block to contact the board. Gentle is best until you get the hang of it. Other than that, this is a very good kit and cost effective. Thank you

I have been laying vinyl plank flooing in basement. I struggled in the first room getting the planks tightly connected, so I ordered this. The tapping block is great. It is heaving enough that you don't need to hammer it. Just hold one end against the plank and pivot the other end to tap the plank. It is heavy enough to provide a little nudge with each tap, and long enough not to break the vinyl edge as it taps. I can see, even planks that look tight snug up even tighter with a few taps. After the plank is in lengthwise, I can put the block on the end of the plank, and tap the block with a hammer to tighten up the seam between planks on the small end. The bar is very heavy duty, and works well to allow for tapping planks together when the one being installed is up against a wall. The hammer is light but would work ok. I had a heavier rubber mallet that I use.
