This mannequin head says 100% human hair but it is in fact partially synthetic. Some may have more synthetic hairs than others but mine had enough that it won’t take color or bleach. It will be great for updos!

The hair feels so real, and covers a large amount of the doll's head. So far it has not melted with the blow dryer, have yet to test a straightener or curling iron on it, but based on the feeling of the hair, we are expecting it to survive on low to medium settings. The clamp is styled to be on the edge of a table, so make sure you have something sturdy enough to hold the (light) weight of the head, but also strong enough to resist the pulling of whomever is trying to style the hair. The base does come in separate parts, but super easy to put together, the head itself is on a ball joint, so you can move it around as needed. It came with some extra hair accessories, brushes, color extensions and clips. Absolutely worth every penny.
