I had bought a smaller version of this previously and was very disappointed when this one did not match it. Both had same descriptions but this new one was much more distressed, which I like. They are next to each other so it bothers my OCD. Dropping one star for this reason as well as for the expensive price. our whitewashed wood 4-panel folding louvered room divider arrived within just a few days of ordering, which was great! All the way to Hawai'i! I liked that it came in a narrow box, and once I slit open the box, the divider came out in one piece and I immediately stood it up! So easy. Yes there was a chemical smell to it, but it dissipated quickly upon setting it up. I also like that it's sturdy enough and the small slats allow the wind to breeze through it, thereby not knocking it over. I only wish it wasn't quite so "distressed" looking. I would have chosen "all white" if I had the option. We think we will need to paint it ourselves. :-/ ... show more

They really need to update the picture for the 4 panel. As I was expecting to get what was shown in pictures, not with the distressed paint. Picture when I purchased and is still there as of today 8.23.19 is more solid of a white color without the paint scrapped look. Bought to use as a photo background for my online selling and was hoping for what was pictured. Too much hassle to bother repacking and returning. Update 8 26 19. Sadly had to spend more money on paint to make it look like what I was thinking it would look like given advertised picture shown at time of purchase. It has a really bad chemical smell. I'm going to try to see if the smell goes away in a few days; I'll give it up to two weeks. I purchased to provide privacy around the desk where I work from home so it's right next to me and the smell is VERY strong. Will update my review if it improves. UPDATE: It's been six days now and the smell is not that noticeable anymore. I've updated my review from 2 stars to 4 stars. I can't give it five stars simply because it feels so flimsy. I would expect something a bit more study for the price. But it does look great and creates privacy so I like it a lot. ... show more

I received my room divider a couple days ago. Wow! It's sturdy and well made for the price. It's distressed and perfect for Shabby Chic room. What I love is the structure that each panel has it's hinges. So I can create any shape I want. Make sense? Some review says that it's not stable. Mine is very stable and doesn't have smell either. This product is beyond my expectation and worth for $159. I am glad that I purchased it. Thanks everybody for the honest reviews. They helped me make a right decision. Although lightweight, this divider is sturdier than it first appears. It accidently tipped over on the back of a chair. I was instantly fearful it had broken some slats. Two of the slats did pop out, fully in one piece still. I was concerned about getting them back in since I had to bend them slightly to get them in the slots. They were very pliable and fit back into place. You would never know they had popped out! ... show more
