I love these rugs. I have 4 of them. I have hardwood floors and it can be slippery for my dogs, especially the older guys. These are soft, absorb water very well, and are easy to clean. Just throw them into the washer or take them outside and give a good shake. They aren't fancy but when you have a lot of pets, you arent too worried about fancy. They are very practical and have a very cute design on them. So, if you are looking for soft and absorbent, you cannot go wrong with these rugs. One thing to note, they have backing on them that makes them less likely to slide or slip on, but its not a thick rubber so if you are worried about slipping, that may be a slight issue. For me, its one of the main reasons I bought these. We just had our floors redone with vinyl planking and apparently you should not place rubber or latex rugs or mats on them because they react with the flooring and can cause stains. Although there is something anti skid on the rugs, its not a thick rubber or latex so I am hoping they are ok. Oh, and so far they hold up well with multiple washings.     • Perfect substitute if you are getting rid of all your carpeting
My dog loves to run her snout into the carpet both after eating and baths. Although cute, our 21 year old carpets aren't the kind of thing you want your dog drying itself on. It finally came time to get rid of all the carpeting and have hard floors everywhere. I realized no carpet meant she wouldn't have a place to dry herself like she did. So, I bought this to use as a runner in the hallway right next to the bathroom where I bathe her hoping she would go for it and not care it isn't a carpet. After I bathed her and toweled her off as good as I could, I put her down and she took off. I thought she was going to try to start drying herself on the bed or furniture since the carpet is gone. As I quickly went after her, the furthest I got was 2 steps into the hallway where I almost ran into my dog who was speedily drying herself using this new runner. :-D Cleaning it is a breeze. I mostly shake off everything close to the floor and use the stick vacuum to clean it up off the hard flooring or I put it in the washer under delicate so that the washer doesn't try to spin too hard with it. I then hang dry and in a day or 2, it's good to go back on the floor. I love having floors that are so easy to clean! I'll never live with carpeting again. Thankfully, this runner solved my only concern about not having carpets. :-) ... show more

This is a must have for any pet owner. I keep this at the doggie door and it soaks up any mud or dirt that my doodle tracks in. There are many color options to match with your interior, I got the dark grey so the dirt won’t show up so easily between washes. I like some of the other brands a bit better as this one slips often and I have to bend over to adjust every day. I like how soft it is and it does the job to keep the dirt out of the house. It seems to be very absorbent too.

I buy one of these rugs every year and keep it where my dog and I will walk over it after we come inside, wet or not. When we have wet feet, we will walk over the rug a few steps and all the water is absorbed. Works as advertised. After a few months it can take on that "dog smell". Since I use the largest size, I don't want to put my home washing machine through this much weight so, I will take it to my cleaners or, take it to a coin op laundromat. IMO, the My Doggy Place dog mat works as well as any other, more expensive brands. ... show more

I love these rugs. And I love that they don't have the typical rubber backing that wears out and starts to dicintegrate with every washing. I already 2 large rugs by the doors and I just bought these 2 smaller rugs to use as feeding mats under their food and water bowls.

I love this rug. This is the first rug that I have bought that actually helps with the dirt, water and mud being tracked inside from my dogs. I bought the hallway runner to go at the back door where the dogs come in and out all day. I live in Washington so it rains a ton and by the time they get off the rug on to the hard wood floors, there are no muddy paw prints! I’ve tried different rugs and they did little to nothing to help with the mess or they are so small that the dogs only step on it one time before hitting the floors. With the hallway runner size they get a few steps on it and by the time the step off there paws are dry. I definitely recommend if you have dogs! The fist picture shows the floor before stepping on the rug and the second picture is after the rug. No mud left on their paws at all. ... show more
