  • Relaxed and fantastic
Platform For Display: Xbox One Edition: Standard
Growing up playing MX unleashed, naturally i'm going to be a bit dissapointed when Mx Vs Atv does not include airplanes & Monster Trucks. That being said, if you take this game in the context of Mx vs. Atv reflex and on. This game is a great improvement, the fluidity of the player movement is fantastic and satisfying. Moreover I haven't run into half the issues i've heard people getting hysterical and whiney about. This game has been pretty solid and enjoyable. Recommend to anyone who's played the games over the years. ... show more

  • Serious frame rate issues but the potential is THERE
Platform For Display: Xbox One Edition: Standard
I’ve put in a few hours now on the game and I’ve spent enough time to draw a few conclusions. First let’s get the negative out of the way out of the gate, the frame rate glitch on this game is a SERIOUS issue. I would Five star except for the horrendous amount of lag experienced during gameplay. Now, that is my only main issue with this game. The pros: the physics are incredible, the whip in this game is exactly what everyone has been asking for. #freethewhip happened and people complain that it’s too wild now? It’s easy to bring back and though you have to be careful scrubbing, it’s possible to scrub ridiculously low. The first person riding is the best in any SX game to ever come out. It’s not just a novelty anymore but you can race competitively while in first person. Though I would Set the camera back farther still. Not many times that I’m actually riding where the only thing I can see is the front fender. The tuning is amazing; don’t like how your bike handles? Tune it to your feel, the 450 I have now is dialed in and I wreck with it. Another reason for the four star is 0 name brand bikes to start with. I hope they don’t release packages again that have to be purchased, though I’m sure that will be the case. I also was really hoping to see actual outdoor tracks on this game but unfortunately you only get fictitious outdoor tracks. All in all this is the best game they’ve ever put out. The frame rate issue MUST be fixed though, what’s the point in having super smooth physics when you lag and glitch the entire race? ... show more

  • My favorite all time was MX Unleashed
Platform For Display: Xbox One Edition: Standard
I think I have owned every iteration of this series since the first Motocross Madness. My favorite all time was MX Unleashed. This game takes a huge step back in the right direction after the last couple of games in my opinion. Is it perfect, no, but it is a lot of fun and the developer is extremely responsive and working to improve it further. I think the game is good now and will be excellent soon. Support Moto games. ... show more

Platform For Display: Xbox One Edition: Standard
This game is sweet so far. Love the way it looks, the controls, the tricks, the compound, the sounds of the bike etc. Can't wait to play it more and try out more game modes! Be sure to put your disc in ASAP to start the update process (25gigs!). This game is just what I was hoping for and expecting.

  • Its not reflex, but its better than the last few renditions
Platform For Display: Xbox One Edition: Standard
Pros - The game is better than the past few games. Easier to pick up and race competetive and have fun with. Preload is less obnoxious, as is the clutch. Whips are back. Cons - preload is still agressive, the bikes float too much in the air, whips are way too fast and dont come back on their own like they did in reflex. This means you have to bring them back on your own and when you do decide to bring them back, they snap back so fast you can easily overshoot the straight smooth landing. The bike rolls and flips and 360’s when trying to do whips and thats just rediculous. Graphics are not great, framerate is bad, but these things I am sure will get fixed. I am a Reflex guy. I still play it. Hands down the most fun game you guys ever made. The physics allowed you to ride super flowy and fast. This game almost feels like the bike has too much traction and you can easily oversteer and lose too much momentum. Its too touchy to ride smooth and too much effort to try and whip/scrub effectively in a race situation. One of the most fun aspects of Reflex is that you can go wide open and crank the bike over into a scrub off the face of the jump with little effort. I know the reflex comparison is like a broken record, but this game feels like a step backwards to the arcade feel and look of the earlier games (untamed?). I think it has potential, but it needs some phsyics updates, calm the responsiveness of the bike in the air, and make it flow a little better. Obviously the frame rate issues and poor graphics need attention but that has been well documented in these reviews. I wont say dont buy it, but I will say it needs work and I hope they go in the right direction on this. After playing a little more.. 1)throttle and brakes in the air should have my gyro effect on the bike. 2)pushing both sticks one way off a jump should not make the bike flip around as fast or rediculously as it does. 3)Most of the whip or scrub should come from the face of the jump, its too easy to manipulate the bike in the air leading to #4 4)Self returning whips feel so much smoother! Its ok to be able to move the bike some in the air, but you should not be able to go back and forth like you can 5)Graphics are a letdown. Monster energy supercross killed it in this department, and this looks worse than the antequated reflex. 6)Any time I hit the gas in the air the bike should rev and bang off the rev limiter.. it seems to only do this once in a while. 7)Bike sounds are rough. The blips on the starting line sound good, the rest is just rough on the ears. 8)The start..... it looks like my rider gets whiplash every time. No bike gets traction like that off a start... I guess I was really just hoping for Reflex 2. This game can be fun, but not at the level Reflex was. I continue buying these games hoping that one day they will use the money they make to bring back the best mx game of all time.......... #ReflexRedux ... show more
