I thought I'd give this a try against another product with many good reviews. This one had 0 reviews. I chose the competing product as it was much more substantial with added benefit of being able to block in/reinforce the railing post. This product is only a trim piece. The metal bent trying to put in on 3.5 X 3.5 post (considered a 4 X 4). So very flimsy. The paint did not stay on the product so doubtful longevity. The problem is once you build the railing, you are stuck and would have to tear apart your railings if these don't hold up. Definitely not worth what they are charging for this product. Needs to be substantially thicker. I'd even suggest using durable colorfast plastic. Concerned with losing paint upon installation that it would corrode being in contact with treated wood. ... show more

Ordered WT07 post bases and WT08 post caps and the post caps don’t fit over the bases… they don’t even cover the screw heads … bases work great, but the caps are horrible… they are really tight even on dried 4x4’s… customer service at the Muzak’s website was also unresponsive to emails about the a week ago .
