It's safe to say that it's kitten approved. The material is that velvety soft felt. Feels pretty durable and my kitten fell in love with how it feels right off the bat. She was of course instantly intrigued and a part of the whole build. She wore herself out checking out all the separate pieces and took a nap at the bottom as I finished putting it back together. Normally when I disturb her, she complains about it, but when I shifted it she stirred and went right back to sleep. It comes with a safety strap to secure it to a wall for added stability. I can sit on the first level house and it doesn't sink at all. I weight 125. The hammock bowls are nice and sturdy as well. Can definitely hold my 13 year old cat with just a little bounce as she drops in. She's about 15 pounds. I will definitely be buying another tower from them. My cats have their own bedroom so they be spoiled. It was pretty easy to put together. Keep in mind that the holes that have metal threads in them are meant for the smaller bolts and it'll be much easier. ... show more

I searched and searched for the perfect one this was perfect it is large like I wanted it's very sturdy easy to put together it wobbles a little bit but not that much once you finish and attach it to the wall it's very sturdy. The downside is I was missing two major screws but I managed. If you're looking for something for your large cat something nice and roomy this is a really really good item ... show more
