  • Worth buying
Size: 3 Ounce (Pack of 1)
Definitely worth buying. My man wears waves in his hair and this is the only product that makes his hair perfect

  • use to slick down your hair, help with the fly aways, I messed up...
I didn't love it. I wanted to. I am new to short hair and find that a cream for texturizing makes a huge difference in the end style of my hair. Gives that definition I am looking for. With this I find no matter how little I do use I just look greasy. Maybe it is better for men but it didn't do it for me. I gave it several tries but I will stick with a cream. This is a harder base more like chap stick is, not that hard but you get the idea. What it would be good for is if you have a pulled back style and want to slick down all those fly-a-way ends. This would be your product! Perfect for that kind of styling or for men's hair. Now if I really read, it does say: Works best with VERY short hair and slicking down tight to head or hold up a stiff flat top, etc. Yep, would be perfect for that but not `sort of short hair.' Not a `texturizing kind of product. It is a good price and used for its intension then yes, it could be a good product! I gave it a four star based on not what it did for me but it will do what it says it will do. Not too gooy but would slick back hair nicely. It wasn't what I was looking for. ... show more

  • Works Great on Thick Hair
So trying some various pomades (Axe, Got2Be, American Crew) I looked on line and found the reviews for Murray's here on Amazon and bought a can. I still have not received my order but did a google search for the stuff in my local area (was going on a date last Friday and needed something) and found that Walgreen's sells the stuff for less that $5 a can (way cheaper than Axe and American Crew)....THIS STUFF FREAKIN WORKS LIKE MAD!!!!!! I applied it as directed (even watched a youtube vid on how to get the slick euro look) and it was perfect. I have pretty thick hair but after only a few minutes of working it in, brushing it down, combing the part it, applying a bit of hair spray with a hair dryer, I had finally got the exact look I wanted. I'm taking a can to my stylist this Friday and giving it too her to recommend to other clients. I bought 2 more cans of it and left one on the shelf for the next guy. It is super greasy and takes a good shampooing to get it out, but the look you have with it in is good enough. I did find putting it in right out of the shower with wet hair had the best effect. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED ... show more

  • Affordable, strong hold, and shiny finish
A very affordable pomade, with multi-day hold. I'll shower, shampoo my hair, and just comb it to its original look for about 2 days before I completely wash out and repeat the cycle. Murray's pomade is meant to stay in your hair. APPLICATION TIP: I put a pinch of the pomade on a q-tip and place it a few inches (3 or more. Too close and it will burn and melt immediately) above a flame of a candle to make it soft and pliable. Once I notice the pomade loosing its form, I know it's soft pliable and will go easier into my hair. This does take a bit more time than rubbing it in your hands, but it does go into your hair with ease. To remove, I suggest washing your hair with de-greasing dishwashing soap. Build a thick lather in your hair, and rinse and repeat till the product is out. ... show more

  • I bought three cans of Murray's Superior. I can't say I'm in love with it
Size: 3 Ounce (Pack of 1)
I bought three cans of Murray's Superior. I can't say I'm in love with it. I like the wax pomades better due to the control they give my hair. Murray's doesn't give you much control for styling. The wash out isn't a big deal for me like other people because I've never been in a panic to wash it out in one wash. Having used pomades for a while now, I realize that they take a little while to wash out. Murray's pretty much comes all the way out in one wash for me when I use Dove shampoo or American Crew Shampoo. Murray's is a great pomade if you use just the right amount. If your looking for a slick, then obviously you're going to use a lot of it. But if you want to style your hair like George Clooney, then you need to use just a little. If you use too much, then your hair is going to look oily and it will weigh down your front bangs. My hair is kind of thin, so it doesn't work well for me when I use a lot of it at one time. Also, if you try and use a topper like Royal Crown hair dressing with it, you might not get good results. It seems to work better with Murray's Hair Glow or Excelento for some reason. ... show more

  • Not bad
I'm white with super thick hair that goes to a wave. This stuff is not meant for the thin of hair. Serious, when you see some chick on TV that has some huge hairstyle and your wife turns and says "I wonder how much hair product she uses", you can be the smug one and say 'not much at all babe, just a few dabs of this and you too can be Amy Winehouse!' I think a trick worth learning is knowing how wet your hair is when you apply it. Put it in dry and it feels like sticky Crisco. Wet hair and it feels like it wore off by second lunch. Somewhere half-dryed from a shower is when I get the best results. Buckle up if you plan on removing it each day. I finally learned you gotta just reapply a bit each day and strip your hair with turpentine before you reapply each Sunday before church. ... show more

  • totally confused at the size
I ordered this to make a brow pomade and for my fly aways when doing my 50's styles, what i was not expecting was how tiny a tin it was, i guess i did not read it correctly or totally because i was under the impression that it was so much bigger, maybe i was not reading it correctly or i really don't know however after using it as i was told to for my styles the hold was amazing no fly aways and it really wasnt as sticky as it used to be on my hair when it first came out, the plus was even my brow pomade came out amazing and i use it daily, it is as water proof as it should be, sadly though because of the size and the price i have to give it a 3 star because i went to my local store and found it there for only 2 dollars plus tax. So this is highly over priced. FTC Disclosure: "No monitory compensation was received. I was not required to give a positive review (and sometimes not required to at all). Your experience may differ.
